Of course, a cell phone is more than just a glorified clock. You can also make telephone calls too. Some people can use a cell phone to surf the Internet. I can't surf the Internet with my cell phone because I can't afford it. However, people who can afford it are able to surf the Internet on their cell phone anytime they want. You can play videogames on a cell phone. You can use a cell phone as a camera. You can use a cell phone as a camcorder. You can also watch television shows on a cell phone. Cell phones also make great date planners. I have a very simple and basic cell phone. It only makes telephone calls, has a calender, plays soothing relaxing music and has exercise routines. I'm still amazed by how advanced cell phone technology has become. It used to be that telephones could only make telephone calls. Those days are in the past as we enter the age of the computer microchip.

Is a cuckoo clock better than a grandfather clock? Is a grandfather clock better than a cuckoo clock. The grandfather sounds out a metalic chime to signal significant changes in time. The cuckoo clock as a bird emerging from a door and saying, "Cuckoo" to signal significant changes in time. The grandfather clock is large. The cuckoo clock is small. A grandfather clock is bigger than the average person. The cuckoo clock is larger than the average pet animal. However, if you have a pet bird or a pet fish, than the cuckoo clock would be bigger than that particular critter. How would a pet bird react to a cuckoo clock? Would be pet bird be amused by a new mechanical friend? I'm not sure. I don't own a pet bird nor do I own a cuckoo clock. Yes, it would be an interesting experiment to engage in. However, first I need to find employment, pay off my college tuition loans, get myself relaunched into adulthood and get my own apartment relaunched before I think about purchasing pet birds and cuckoo clocks.

I also realized that birds inside cuckoo clocks can't fly around. Of course, if a bird inside a cuckoo clock is capable of flying around, then it won't be a part of the cuckoo clock anymore. Rather, the cuckoo clock bird would be a part of something else. Then something else would have to emerge from the tiny door inside the cuckoo clock instead of a bird. Then would come the ultimate question. What would come out of that tiny door in the cuckoo clock if the cuckoo clock bird was capable of flying around on it's own? Perhaps a squirrel could come out of the tiny door in a cuckoo clock. But then, it won't be a cuckoo clock anymore. Rather, it would be a squirrel clock. I'm not sure if squirrel clocks would be as popular as a cuckoo clock. Hey, this is my chance to get on the television show Shark Tank. I could sell the Shark Tank investors on my brand new invention----The squirrel clock as a substitute for the cuckoo clock.

Isn't it weird that the birds used in cuckoo clocks always say cuckoo. Birds inside cuckoo clocks never say chirp. Birds inside cuckoo clocks never say caw. Birds inside cuckoo clocks only say cuckoo. Of course, if a bird inside a cuckoo clock would rather say cuckoo instead of chirp or caw, that's perfectly fine. I'm not saying that birds inside cuckoo clocks should be strong winged into saying chirp or caw if they would rather be saying cuckoo. The United States of America is founded on the principal of truth, freedom and liberty. That basic United States of America principal of truth, freedom and liberty also applies to birds that are inside cuckoo clocks.

All eight chapters of the Harry Potter film series isn't about cuckoo clocks. Harry Potter is about magic and sorcery. I'm not saying that wizards and witches isn't capable of owning a cuckoo clock. I'm sure wizards and witches are just as capable of owning a cuckoo clock as anybody else.

I'm not sure if you could purchase a cuckoo clock on the internet. I guess it's possible to purchase a cuckoo clock on the internet. However, I should wait until I move out of my Mom's house and into my own apartment before I start to go cuckoo clock shopping. I got enough of my personal possessions in the basement of my Mom's house as it is. It's better to wait until I'm relaunched back into adulthood before I start to go cuckoo shopping. Still, it's always a good idea to have a cuckoo clock shopping spree planned in the back of my head once I'm employed again, relaunched into adulthood and back into my own apartment again. Having plans for the future is always important.

And so it's Wednesday evening. We're getting closer to the point of the evening where it starts to become early morning. Not yet though. It's only ninety minutes away (Give or take a few minutes). There's a reason why I use my cell phone as a watch.
1. Because I don't know how to replace watch batteries.
2. Because I don't know where to go to get somebody to replace the watch battery for me.
3. Because digital clocks are easier to read than regular clocks.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not ready to go 100% digital on you. I still appreciates regular clocks. I enjoy all clocks. I also enjoy cuckoo clocks (Even though I have yet to find a store in Columbus, Ohio or Cleveland, Ohio that actually sells them. I enjoy looking at birds and cuckoo clocks has birds in them. Therefore, cuckoo clocks are lots of fun.

WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW?

Well GOD has given us snow. GOD has also taken away snow. Not right away though. However, snow is slowly melting away. It won't take long before the snow is gone. Will there be moe snow to replace the snow that's already starting to melt? I'm not sure. I've given up trying to predict the weather. Just when I thought I figured everything out, everything ends up changing. What's much more predictable is my unemployment status. I'm not a high rollar when it comes to money. It's hard to be a high rollar when my daily income budget is $1.08 per day. I'm waiting patiently for my next unemployment compensation check from the Department of Jobs and Family Services. Don't get me wrong. I don't want to earn unemployment compensation forever. This is just a temporary economic asssistance as I'm filling out job application forms. With luck, I'll be employed again. Yes, it's taking longer than expected to find employment. It's easy to lose hope. However, I refuse to give up. There is a light at the end of the long dark tunnel. The survival strategy is simple. Stay sober. Stay sane. Stay honest. Ride my bike carefully. Never ride my bike recklessly. With luck, I'll survive despite myself. Hey, it's possible. There is a chance for redemption for everybody. Even lost causes like me is capable of redemption. Everytime the window is closed, GOD always leaves the window open to crawl out of. I simply need to know where the window of opportunity. And when the window of opportunity is made available, then I need the courage to pursue it. Job hunting is useless without the courage to act upon the opportunity for a job interview. And once the job interview is passed, then courage is needed to show up for work and perform to the best of your capacity. There is no room for cowardice when going job hunting.

And so yesterday was Valentines Day. And so today is my birthday. I'm forty-four years old. I'm not exactly middle age yet, but I'm slowly getting there. The fact that I'm so much closer to becoming elderly isn't a thought that I'm used to yet. And so I shall celebrate my birthday by going job hunting by bicycle. The streets and sidewalks might have ice. However, the ice may already have melted off by the time I'm ready to get moving by bike to my job hunting destination. It would've been better if I were already employed by the time Valentines Day and my birthday arrived. However, I guess I'm not meant to be such a lucky person. I'm hoping that my luck will improve before Christmas. Hope springs eternal.

IT'S TUESDAY MORNING ONCE AGAIN

It's Tuesday morning once again. It's not Monday morning. It's not Wednesday morning. Oh no, today is Tuesday. There's nothing much going on besides being unemployed and frequently riding broken bicycles that always get flat tires. I have a drivers license, but I can't afford my driving ability. I can barely afford my bike riding ability. I'm always getting either flat tires or getting the rear tire rim bent badly out of shape. I'm not sure why fortune always conspires against me. I'm a decent man. I'm honest and hard working. However, I'm always losing my job. I'm always getting my bike wrecked. My efforts to purchase a car is always defeated. My efforts for permanent employment is always defeated. I can't move out of my Mom's house and into my own apartment if I'm not able to hold on to a job without it getting wrecked beyond repair in some way or another. It's frustrating. So here I go again. I'm going to fill out another job application form. With luck, the next job I land will be permanent. With luck, the next bicycle I own won't keep getting flat tires and horribly ruined rear wheel rims. With luck, I won't exist on the razors edge of homeless vagrancy and destitution. With luck, I shall survive despite myself.

So I woke up in the morning. I'm going to eat breakfast after surfing the internet for a few minutes. After that, I'm going job hunting. I'm still unemployed. I don't want to be unemployed forever. I'll just keep filling out job application forms until I'm employed again. It's a rough job market while the Great Recesssion is raging onwards. However, I'm optimistic. I know I'll become employed again.

THE SNOW STARTS TO FALL IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

And so it finally happened. The snow is falling down in thick sheets. I already shoveled the driveway of my Mom's house that I'm currently living in. I might need to do so again several times before the day is through. I wasn't expecting this much snow to fall. It was a lame winter for most of December and January. It looked as if February was going to be a lame winter month too. So imagine my surprise when snow waits until now before falling with enthusiasm. Hey, better late than never. Personally, I was hoping that I'll be employed before the typical Cleveland, Ohio winter starts. However, I'm still unemployed. My current unemployment plight where from February 2010 to current, I've been employed for only two months and barely a week. This could only result in only two conclusions....
1. My current unemployment plight is my fault. In that case, I need to overhaul my personality and jettison bad personality traits that's getting me thrown off the payroll after only four and a half hours at KFC and only four days at Earthbound Trading Company. I can't keep using the same negetive personality traits if it's making enemies of some of my employers past, current and future.
2. My current unemployment plight is the end result of the Great Recession that's currently going on.

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

The sky is grey and overcast. The weather is cold. It looked as if it might snow, but it turned out to be a false lead. And lacking a car to drive, I'm riding a bike instead. I'm thankful that there isn't a flat tire. I've been getting too many flat tires in such a short span of time recently. I'm glad to have a functioning bicycle. I would rather be driving a car, but I guess fate and destiny has other intentions in mind for me. So here I am. I'm unemployed. I would like to be employed. However, the Great Recession is getting in the way. Or rather, I would like to believe that it's the Great Recession's fault that I'm unemployed. If it's my fault that I'm unemployed, then I need to revamp my personality so I won't have to make enemies of anymore future, current or past employers. I can't afford to make enemies of any employers period. The only working poor individual who can afford to make enemies of past, current and future employers are idiots who are doomed to be homeless and destitute. I don't want my personality deficiencies to make a homeless vagrant out of me. Therefore, if I need to improve myself in order to survive, then that's what I shall do. I will be employed again. There is a light at the end of the long dark tunnel. There is hope for my hopeless existence.

THINGS TO DO

As much as it's tempting to reenact the biography of Darth Vader, that might turn out not to my benefit. Let's start with the obvious. Darth Vader is a jerk. I'm not going to get into all the crimes that he has done, but it's not worth repeating in reality. Plus, I lack the drive and ambition to start a dictatorship. Plus, I lack the money to start a dictatorship. It's kind of hard to start a dictatorship if I can't even find employment as a minimum wage employment janitor longer than between four and a half hours to four days. It would be nice for me to find minimum wage employment that actually lasts longer than four and a half hours to four days before I even think about starting a multi-national dictatorship identical to the multi-planet empire that Darth Vader started. Besides, did I mention that I'm too nice of a guy to be acting like that. My conscience would get in the way too much. There are too many wars raging already. We don't need even more wars than what we already have. We need more peace making efforts than war battles.
Plus, Star Wars Episode Four---A New Hope is a remake of the Japanese action film The Hidden Fortress with science fiction elements thrown in. People who isn't familiar with Asian films probably didn't realize that Star Wars Episode Four--A New Hope and 1958 era film The Hidden Fortress literally are the same exact film with small changes thrown in. Even the part about greed over gold being more important than freedom fighting was a story telling element. The Hidden Fortress didn't have any talking robots are giant sized pet gorilla critters though. Fans of R2D2, C3P0 and Chewbacca will be disappointed by that. Anyway, that's a bit of film trivia thrown in at no extra charge. So the next time you see all six films in the Star Wars series, be sure to thank Japanese filmmaking legend Akira Kurosawa for creating and directing The Hidden Fortress as well thanking George Lucas for the Star Wars epic.

Soon I'll embark on my bicycle on my search for employment. Today is Friday. Saturday is tomorrow. Sunday is roughly forty-eight hours from now. The old week is ending. The new week is starting. CERTAIN PROBLEMS ABOUT WINTER

It's hard to wear a ski mask when it's cold outside. I'm not talking about putting the ski mask on. Quite the opposite. Putting on the ski mask is easy. Taking off the ski mask is easy. However, everytime I wear a ski mask, somebody has me mistaken for somebody who's planning a store robbery. I'm asked where I got the ski mask. Not because the person asking the question is filled with envy and wants something like my ski mask too. But rather because I'm looking like a stupid acting store robber and the person asking the question is insulting and teasing me. Then the police mistaken me for somebody robbing a bank or a grocery store. So then I can't go shopping at that bank or grocery store because that accusation ruined my appreciation for that place. So now I don't wear a ski mask---Even when it's below zero. The tempreture won't fall below zero for the Winter 2011 to 2012 so I have nothing to worry about. Still, even if the tempreture were to fall below zero for the Winter 2011 to 2012, I'll handle it even if I can't wear a ski mask anymore. There's no point in wearing a ski mask in the Summer. Nobody wears ski masks in the Summer.

TALES OF AN UNEMPLOYED PERSON

So I'm unemployed. I'm riding my bike around town and filling out job application forms. I'm willing to work in restaurants, grocery stores and retail stores. I'm not particular. Whatever works is whatever I'll take. I'm anxious to repay my Franklin University college tuition loans and getting launched out of my Mom's house and into my own apartment. I enjoy living life on my own terms for twelve years in my own apartment. Going backwards instead of forward isn't an easy adjustment for me. I'm still hopeful that I'll restore my life back to normal again. The Great Recession is rough for everybody. The wealthy is just as affected by the Great Recesion as the average person. I've heard the stack of submitted job application forms is pretty signficant. However, I'm sure I can find my way to the top of the stack of submitted job application forms in some way. I need to be in the right place and at the right time for something big to fall into place. I can't afford to be particular. Whatever will get me honest employment will be good enough for me.

I'm not sure what to write about aside from saying that I'm still unemployed. I'm not sure what to say beyond saying that I have some photos of country music star Alison Krauss. I admit that I was in a blind panic when I learned that I had only five minutes left to write this entire blog entry before the library computer I was using bumbed me off for somebody else. Then I heard that I had ten extra minutes added anyway. So I got more time than I expected. I'm also using the internet for job hunting as well as for internet blogging. I never thought I'd be finding computers to be this useful in my day to day existance. However, I admit that computers have made my life much easier than ever before. Computers have been such a crucial time saving device, that it's hard to imagin what life was like before the use of computers.

And so night is starting to fall. With my quest for employment still unfullfilled, I peddle my bike through back home as the sky starts to darken. I shall resume my quest for employment the next morning. I'm still hopeful that I'll be employed again. I refuse to allow the Great Recession to drag me down and keep me down. I shall rebuild my life back to normal again.

THE START OF A NEW WEEK IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

And this is where I'm at. I'm unemployed and living in Cleveland, Ohio. I would like to be unemployed and I'm working hard to be employed again. I'm still hopeful that minimum wage employment is possible. I'm hopeful that there's a light at the end of the long dark tunnel called unemployment. And when I find employment, I still have Franklin University college tuition assistance to repay before I could move out of my Mom's house and into my own apartment. It's Winter in Cleveland, Ohio, however no snow is falling from the sky. Normally, there would be near blizzard condition here in Cleveland, Ohio. However, the Winter here is shockingly mild. A person living near the cul-de-sac has built a ice skating rink with the anticipation of a snow storm. Now all the person has a small swimming pool instead. Sometimes the forces of nature refuses with the grand design of humanity. Oh well, such things happen.

The problem with ventriloquist's dummies is the puppet itself. You never see a ventriloquist's dummy with a pleasant personality. The ventriloquist's dummy is either a jerk, an asshole or neurotic. I don't know what is it about ventriloquist's dummies that makes that particular form of puppet so difficult to work with. However, some people are only able to express themselves with ventriloquist's dummy or alternative form of puppet. I'm not saying that ventriloquist's dummies and puppets should never be allowed. Quite the opposite, I enjoy ventriloquist's dummy shows just as much as I enjoy puppet shows. However, it would be nice if the puppet operator is the person who's offbeat and wild while the vintriloquist's dummy is the straight person of the duet. I won't be able to psychoanalyze such a person. For starters, I only have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Also, because the need to express in puppets instead of actual conversation continues to escape my understanding. So pull up a chair and enjoy another episode of the Muppet Show. Children entertainment is much brighter with that show in existance. Yes, I know there are less ventriloqueist's dummies and more hand puppets, but it's still a fantastic source of entertainment.

GETTING CLOSER TO FRIDAY MORNING

Gentle Reader, I'm still unemployed. Don't get me wrong, I would like to be employed. It's not fun to be unemployed. I pray to GOD that my current state of unemployment is because of the recession and not because I'm unemployable. I can't afford to be unemployable. Being unemployable means that I'm on the razor's edge of homeless vagrancy and that's not a good thing. If there's something wrong with my competency that makes me unemployable, then I need to work hard to correct that to make myself employable. It's easy to lose hope, but I can't allow that to happen. I must remain optimistic. I will become employed again. I need to keep fighting hard to make myself a better person so that a future employer will want to hire me and keep me on the payroll longer than between four and a half hours to four days. I'm a very optimistic person. I still believe that there's still hope for me. I still hope that I'll be employed again in spite of the Great Recession. I need to believe in myself. Optimism is key. I'll keep riding my bike around town. I'll keep filling out job application forms too. With luck, I'll find employment. Then I'll repay all the college tuition loans that I owe Franklin University. Then I'll be able to afford a relocation out of my Mom's house and into my own apartment. I still believe that there's a light at the end of the long dark tunnel. I will survive despite the difficulty.

SO BEGINS THE THIRTY-FIFTH MONTH OF MY RESIDENCE IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

Ok, I'll admit that life has a tendency to be unpredictable. When I was living in my own apartment at Lexington Park Apartments (Originally Country Corners Apartments) between 1997 to March 2009, it was my assumption that I'd be living there for the rest of my natural life. Between 1997 to March 2009, I never thought that I'd be moving back in my Mom's house. Nor did I believe for a second that I'd be living in Cleveland, Ohio starting April 2009. However, life had other intention's in mind so here I am. So now I'm unemployed, living in my Mom's house and needing to repay my college tuition loans. All the college tuition loans that I owe Ohio State University has been paid in full 100%. I still need to repay all the college tuition loans that I owe Franklin University though. Once that is done, then I'll be debt free. Since I was only four classes away from graduating Franklin University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a 3.0 grade point average, I won't need another college tuition loan. In fact, I'll never take out a financial loan or a credit card application ever again. It's taking too long to repay the college tuition loan that I already got. Some cosmic force of nature is telling me that I'm never allowed to take out college tuition loans or a credit card debt. It's a shame, but such is life.

REGARDING THE THRILL OF WEARING EYEGLASSES

Yes, I'll admit that my heart sank when I was told by my Biologic parents (Step-Mom Marnie wasn't part of the story back then) that I had to wear eyeglasses. I thought only nerds wear eyeglasses. Plus the fact that I wasn't a nerd made my unqualified. However, when I realized that my nearsighted vision status, my mind was changed. For those who doesn't know, near sighted vision is where I can only see things nearby, but I can't see anything far away. Wearing eyeglasses give me the perfect 20/20 vision that I require in order to move around in life properly. So now I wear my metal framed eyeglasses with enthusiasm and pride. I have learned that cool dudes like me is just as capable of wearing eyeglasses as anybody else can. Plus, Lisa Loeb and Janeane Garofalo wears eyeglasses as part of their celebrity image. If Lisa Loeb and Janeane Garofalo can wear eyeglasses without embarrassment, then I can do the same too. So those who are nearsighted and those who are farsighted, take comfort in knowing that it's alright to wear eyeglasses in public. Those who think ill of such acts isn't worth hanging around anyway. Plus, it's easier for me to ride my bike around town on my job hunt effort when I wear eyeglasses. Yes, I know that contact lenses is also available, but I much prefer eyeglasses. Wearing eyeglasses helps give me a distictive edge.
