AU REVOIR SIMONE

Erika Forster (vocals/keyboard), Annie Hart (vocals/keyboard), and Heather D'Angelo (vocals/drum machine/keyboard) formed Au Revoir Simone in Brooklyn, New York City, New York on 2003.  The name of the trio originated from the Pee Wee Herman (Paul Paul Reubens) said to Diane Salinger performing as Simone in the film Pee-wee's Big Adventure.  Erika Forster and Annie Hart met on a train ride towards New York City and became close friends.  Au Revoir Simone started out as a duet before Heather D'Angelo was added to make the group a trio.   Bin Park (keyboard/vocals) joined the group and left rather quickly before a recording contract could be made.  They toured with We Are Scientists and Peter Bjorn and John along with a museum exhibit David Lynch retrospective on top of a giant statue of Eraserhead at Fondation Cartier pour l'Art Contemporain.  Their debut album was released in 2005, their second in 2007 and their third in 2009.  An all keyboard band with nothing but keyboards, Au Revoir Simone is still recording and touring to this exact second.
