Katheryne Lee Herzig aka Katie Herzig was born in an Unknown City located in California on March 6, 1980. She didn't stay in Unknown City, California for long because she was almost two years old when her family relocated to Fort Collins, Colorado. Upon graduating Rocky Mountain High School, Katie Herzig both attended and graduated University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. However, it was a guitar that she received as a present from her father that was more attractive than a career as a journalist. So she chose not to apply for any journalism related careers and chose instead to become a rock star. She became friends with Andrew Jed, Tim and Laurie Thornton who would later form the rock band Newcomers Home with. And when Katie Herzig formed a rock band Newcomers Home, she realized how hard it was to be a rock star when she suffered from stage fright. So she started small singing backup while playing drums and worked her way to becoming the group's lead singer before the band broke up without getting a recording contract and never recording any albums. Katie Herzig eventually got her recording contract in 2004 and she never looked back. Her latest album was released in 2011. Katie Herzig is currently recording and touring right now to this exact second.
