SATURDAY, SUNDAY (TODAY) AND MONDAY (TOMORROW) IS NEW YEARS DAY IN THAILAND

Today is the traditional New Years Day for Kingdom of Thailand. Thailand New Years Day, known as Songkran, is three days long from April 13 to April 15. Other times, is a four day holiday from April 13 to April 16. Other times, it's a six day holiday from April 13 to April 18. Other places in Thailand celebrates Songkran for even longer periods of time. And even though the legal calendar for the Kingdom of Thailand now has January 1 listed as the official New Years Day, but Songkran is still celebrated in Thailand.
And to celebrate Songkran, celebration revelers would pay respect to the deceased by going to a Budhist Monastery (Also called a Wat) to pray and give food to the Budhist Monks. And back at home, Kongkran revelers would pour a mixture of Thai fragrance and water over small statues of Buddha. Water fights is also important to the celebration of Songkran. Originally, the mixture of thai fragrance and water that was poured over the statues of Gautama Buddha or Siddhārtha Gautama Buddha was then poured over the Songkran revelers. However, water that hasn't been poured over statues of Buddha also qualify for the eventually reinvented water fights (That also include water guns, garden hoses and buckets of water that isn't blessed by Buddha and water balloons too). So in case I didn't have the chance to tell the Gentle Reader already, Happy New Year everybody.

And as I'm lost in thought on New Years Day, here are some photos of the following celebrities.
