LET'S LOOK TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AHEAD IN THE FUTURE TO THE YEAR 2013

The Los Angeles Times Magazine published an article that predicted what the year 2013 will be like.  The date was April 3, 1988.  Some of the predictions didn't come true.  Nobody walks around carrying computers the size of index cards.  Yeah, there are smart phones, I pods and IPads plus the recent invention of tablet computers.  However, students can't plug their smart phones nor their tablet computers into their desk electronically submit their homework.  There are no smart washingmachines pours laundry detergent on it's own.  There are no robots with human-like intelligence playing the role of R2-D2 or C3PO in the average home.  The predicted 2013 cars and buildings the Los Angeles Times Magazine article predicted was never built.  And while technology using thumbprints for identification has been invented, it's not used as extensively as predicted.  However, advances in desktop computers became a reality.  And now, I present to you the Los Angeles Times Magazine predictions about what life would be like in the year 2013 as presented to those where were alive in the year 1988.
