LIFE ON EARTH

Introversion isn't possible when it's realized that we all have to share the same planet together.  What happens when we run out of trees in the forest to cut down and nobody planted more trees?  What happens all the ponds, rivers, streams and oceans have dried up?  What happens when all the crude oil has been drilled with no advances in developing alternative energy sources?  What happens when all land has been turned into cities with no land resources allocated for farming?  What happens when all wildlife is extinct without any attempt to protect endangered species?  It's one thing to claim to be selfish, but what happens when such an act of selfishness dooms the world around the Gentle Reader and I?  To quote John Donne,
No man is an island,
Entire of itself.
Each is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manor of thine own
Or of thine friend's were.
Each man's death diminishes me,
For I am involved in mankind.
Therefore, send not to know
For whom the bell tolls,
It tolls for thee.
And as I'm lost in thought on the planet Earth, here are some photos of actress Kirsten Dunst.

With the lack of income reducing the space available for me to store personal possessions to shrink more and more as time passes along, it's nice to know that I can check out books at the library.  Thank GOD for the invention of libraries when it's looked at that way.
