And as we reflect on the two hundred and thirty-seventh birthday of the United States of America, let's reflect on how the Gentle Reader, as a citizen of his/her country has benefited their country. I'm not talking about empty repeating of rigid party lines political rhetoric. I'm not talking about making believe that racism, religious intolerance and other forms of discrimination qualifies only as patriotism. I'm not talking about claiming that only one person's religious and political beliefs qualify as patriotism and all other forms of religious and political beliefs qualify as treason in a You're-Either-With-Me-Or-Against-Me form of discrimination and hatred. I'm talking about politics and religious beliefs that actually benefit this country. Reaching out to those who are less fortunate doesn't qualify as not believing that the United States of America will survive. Reaching out to those who's religious and political beliefs are different from our own doesn't qualify as not believing that the United States of America will survive. The Untied States of America is a melting pot of all religions, national origins, political beliefs and racial nationalities. The United States of America is the land founded by immigrants. And the United States of America will continue to survive as long as we remember those basic facts.
And as I'm lost in thought as the Fourth of July enters the noontime hours, here are some photos of Courtney Love (Lead singer of the rock band Hole and also a solo performer).
