It goes like this, now here's the thing.  Amanda Clarke aka Emily Thorne used to have a father.  However, her father was arrested on fake charges of being a terrorist working for an unspecified Middle Eastern Terrorism militia and died in prison.  The reason was that Amanda Clarke aka Emily Thorne's father had extra-marital romance and sex with Conrad Grayson's wife Victoria Grayson (and it appears that Victoria Grayson went along with it).  So Amanda Clarke aka Emily Thorne has vowed to wipe out the entire Kennedyesque Grayson Family Middle Eastern Terrorism style.  In other words, in order to prove that her father isn't a Capitolism hating Middle Eastern Terrorist is for his daughter to act like a Capitolism hating Middle Eastern Terrorist.

And when Emily VanCamp was finished promoting her role as Amanda Clarke aka Emily Thorne, she headed off to the Comic-Con International 2013 in San Diego, California to promote her role as Sharon Carter (biologically related to Peggy Carter (From Captain America:  The First Avenger) aka Agent 13 (She's Captain America's girlfriend in the comic books)) in the film Captain America:  Winter Soldier.
