THE 2014 WINTER OLYMPIC GAMES IN SOCHI, RUSSIA

The Russian Federation had high hopes that the Russian Men's Hockey Team would get to compete against the United States a second time in a rematch.  So it was both crushing and humiliating when the Russian Men's Hockey Team lost against Finland and knocked out of competition on home soil.  Even one of three mascots of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia couldn't be comforted in his moment of extreme grief.

A touching tribute to the late halfpipe skiing athlete Sarah Burke.  Sarah Burke pioneered Women's Halfpipe and worked hard for it to become an Olympic game event.  Sadly, Sarah Burke died while competing in a Halfpipe Skiing competition before she could see Women's Halfpipe be included for the first time ever in the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.
