THE SOUND OF THE UNDERGROUND

The all girls band Girls Aloud didn't come together naturally, but rather the band was formed by cattle call audition by the reality television game show series PopStars:  The Rivals broadcasted on November 30, 2002.  A boy band of five men and a girl band of five women were to be formed from a vast field of audition candidates and then set against each other.  Girls Aloud was formed from the women's side while One True Voice was formed from the men's side.  One True Voice broke up after only two singles and no albums.  Girls Aloud was entered into the Guinness Book of World Records as the Most Successful Reality TV Group in the years 2007 and 2011 making Girls Aloud the most successful prefabricated rock band ever.   The 2008 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records has Girls Aloud listed as the Most Consecutive Top Ten Entries in the UK by a Female Group.  The fact that Girls Aloud is mega famous in England, but obscurities that nobody in the United States ever heard of is a curiosity.  Girls Aloud won fame and fortune without ever seeking or gaining approval from the United States of America and continue to do so long after they broke up to seek solo careers.
After winning the reality television talent show game show series Popstars:  The Rivals, Girls Aloud released their debut album one year later in 2003.  Their second album was released on 2004.  Their third album released on 2005.  Their fourth album in 2007 and their final album in 2008.  Girls Aloud signed a three album deal before breaking up and never took advantage of the chance to expand their discography.  Girls Aloud fans are still waiting for the band to reunite even though the five girls has kept insisting to the contrary.
