THE OL' RAZZLE DAZZLE










Missy Higgins was born under the name Melissa Morrison Higgins on August 19, 1983 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.  Dr. Christopher Higgins (Specializing in being a general practitioner) and Margaret Higgins (Who operated a daycare for children) were her parents.  Missy was the youngest of three children with her brother David Higgins being six years older and her sister Nicola Higgins being seven years older.  Missy Higgins was a child prodigy who started playing the piano at age six and started taking singing lessons at age twelve.   After performing in an a children's production of the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Missy Higgins was sent to Geelong Grammar School which was a boarding school operated by the Church of England Catholic Church.  Both of her older siblings also attended boarding school which allowed Missy Higgins and David Higgins to perform jazz together in the same band on weekends while attending classes on the weekdays. 
On the year 1998, fifteen year old Missy Higgins wrote her first song All for Believing which led to the recording of her debut album six years later on 2004.  All for Believing was the first song on her debut album.  Missy Higgins first ever song composition, which was written only for a class assignment has now led to the release of her debut album.  It isn't known if Missy Higgins ever finished boarding school because she went on tour to support her debut album the Sound of White.  She released her second album in 2007, her third album in 2012 and her latest album in 2014.  She's engaged to marry an entertainment industry employed playwright and comedian named Dan Lee.  Missy Higgins continues to record and tour to support her music to this exact moment of time.
