Today in Columbus, Ohio started with rain falling when it was twenty-nine degrees outside. The roads and sidewalks were coated with a thin sheet of ice. It was difficult to travel down the road without encountering at least four traffic accidents due to ice in a row. Eight wheeled trucks were parked on the side of the highway as cars traveled down the highway at less than five miles per hour. Plus, there were additional car wrecks alongside the highway. Entire roads were closed. Oh yes, Saturday (Today) morning was fun. The weather warmed up. All of the snow plus all of the ice were melted by afternoon. Now it feels as if Autumn never went away. And so ends the brief existence of Wintertime in Columbus, Ohio.
And as I'm lost in thought in the opening days of Winter, here are some photos of Shiri Appleby.
