THE ROAD AHEAD OF US

Sometimes the road ahead of us is literal.  You walk across the pavement towards a destination.  Sometimes we're in a hurry and need to be at the destination at a certain time.  Other times, we got plenty of time and can afford to walk down the road at a more leisurely pace.  Sometimes we have a particular destination in mind.  Other times, we're picking a road at random just to see where that road is going to lead.
Sometimes the road head of us is metaphorical.  We get up in the morning with a goal in mind.  Sometimes that goal is specific.  Other times, that goal is vague.  Sometimes that goal serves to benefit the human race.  Other times, that goal hurts the human race.  And we pray that the goals that guide our day to day existence won't lead to harm or punishment.  The metaphorical road we take towards our goals will either benefit or harm us depending on how we go about our day to day existence.  Everything we do impacts other people.  Sometimes our goals helps those around us.  Other times, our goals hurts those around us.  And it's always better to pursue goals that will help those around us. 
The road we take doesn't need to be isolated as long as we're brave enough to bring traveling companions along to keep us all company on the long journey ahead of us all.
