FORGET

Marina Lambrini Diamandis (Her name is Μαρίνα-Λαμπρινή Διαμαντή in the Greek language) was born in Brynmawr, Blaenau Gwent, Wales, United Kingdom on October 10, 1985.  However, her family didn't stay there long.  Marina and her older sister Lafina along with their parents (Her Father was Greek and her Mother was Welsh) relocated to Pandy, Monmouthshire, Wales, United Kingdom.   Her parent's marriage didn't last long either.  Marina was four years old when her father divorced her Mother and left England for Greece.  Marina and Lafina was left in the sole custody of their Mother with their Father returning from Greece on an occasional basis.  Marina attended the Monmouthshire located Haberdashers' Monmouth School for Girls.  Despite enjoying the school choir, she felt that the other girls hated her because her family was impoverished and living in an impoverished neighborhood.  Marina did something about it and she left England for Greece to be raised by her Father at the age of sixteen.  While living abroad, she attended  St Catherine's British School located in Lykovrysi, Athens, Greece.  She was eighteen years old when she returned to England to be with her Mother.  Lafina, Marina and their Mother relocated to Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, England.  Marina started writing music while working at a gas station for two months before she relocated to London, England.  She attended a dance Academy before dropping out, attended University of East London to study music before transferring the next year to Middlesex University to learn classic music composition before dropping out of college.  She auditioned for London based musicals and boy bands before giving up and posted her music on her www.Myspace.com page.  Marina signed a recording contract with Atlantic Records where she started calling herself Marina and the Diamonds.  However, the Diamonds wasn't a reference to her backup band, but a reference to the character she is performing as on the stage.  Marina released her debut album on 2010, her second album on 2012 and her latest album on 2015.  Marina and the Diamonds continues to record music and tour to support her music to this exact moment of time.
