THE 2016 WORLD SERIES BETWEEN THE CHICAGO CUBS AND THE CLEVELAND INDIANS---ALL SEVEN DAYS

October 23, 2016
The last time the Chicago Cubs won the World Series was in 1908 against the Detroit Tigers. In game #1, Chicago defeated Detroit 10 to 6. In game #2, Chicago defeated Detroit 6 to 1. In Game #3, Chicago lost to Detroit 3 to 8. In Game #4, Chicago defeated Detroit 3 to 0. In Game #5, Chicago defeated Detroit 2 to 0, winning the World Series. There will be nine more appearances in the World Series for the Chicago Cubs, but they got defeated all nine times. The last time the Chicago Cubs appeared in the World Series was their tenth appearance in 1945 where they lost against the Detroit Tigers.
The Cleveland Indians made five appearances in the World Series. The last time the Cleveland Indians won the World Series was in 1948 against the Boston Braves. Their last appearance in the World Series was in 1997 against the Florida Marlins.
2016 will be the eleventh appearance in the World Series for the Chicago Cubs and the sixth appearance in the World Series for the Cleveland Indians. I'm torn about who to support. I lived in various Suburbs of Chicago, Illinois from 1975 to 1986. I lived in the Suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio from April 2009 until June 2013. Still, this should be a fascinating baseball game to be watching.

The first day of the 2016 World Series occurred yesterday. The Cleveland Indians defeated the Chicago Cubs 6 to 0. I'm torn about which city to support since I lived in both. However, I lived in the Suburbs of Chicago longer than I lived in the Suburbs of Cleveland. Both cities suffered the longest drought in World Series wins, but only one of the cities will win the World Series. The second day of the 2016 World Series is today. Or rather, it's tonight. The Gentle Reader and I will find out who wins the second night later on today. Both the first and second days in the 2016 World Series takes place in Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio. Wrigley Field located in Chicago, Illinois will be the setting for Day 3, Day 4 and Day 5 of the 2016 World Series.
October 27, 2016
On the first day of the 2016 World Series, the Cleveland Indians was playing better than the Chicago Cubs. On the second day of the 2016 World Series, it's been the complete opposite. The Chicago Cubs is playing better than the Cleveland Indians. The Chicago Cubs has defeated the Cleveland Indians 5 to 1. And now the World Series is shifting from Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio to Wrigley Field in Chicago, Illinois. No longer playing baseball in an amphitheater sized baseballs stadium named after an Progressive Insurance and playing baseball in an amphitheater sized baseball stadium named after Wrigley Chewing Gum (Which once owned the Chicago Cubs, but now an investment banker owns the team however the corporate name remains). Remember a time when sporting amphitheaters wasn't named after corporations?
October 28, 2016
Tonight was the third night in the baseball game between the Chicago Cubs and the Cleveland Indians. And it doesn't look all that good for the Chicago Cubs. The Chicago Cubs lost to the Cleveland Indians at Wrigley Field zero to one. Of course, this is only the third game out of six and there's still a chance that the Chicago Cubs can pull off a victory. The chance will occur tomorrow when the fourth game provides the Chicago Cubs the chance to score a second victory and tie the game once again. Or it could give the Cleveland Indians the chance to pull ahead and win the whole thing. The Gentle Reader and I will find out tomorrow when the Fourth game of the 2016 World Series starts on Saturday tomorrow.

Well, the Chicago Cubs had mixed results at their own home turf at Wrigley Field. The baseball diamond amphitheater named after a chewing gum company (Which once owned the Chicago Cubs, but is now owned by a corporate mogul who works in insurance) sort of improved the Chicago cubs fortunes and mostly didn't. On Saturday, October 29, the Chicago Cubs lost to the Cleveland Indians 2 to 7. On Sunday, October 30, the Chicago Cubs defeated the Cleveland Indians 3 to 2. It all adds up to this. The Chicago Cubs needs to win game 6 and game 7 in order to win the World Series. The Cleveland Indians only needs to win game 6 in order to win the World Series. And it all returns to Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio for game 6 and game 7. So now all the World Series attendees will be showing up at the baseball diamond amphitheater named after an insurance company as the World Series continues this coming Tuesday and Wednesday.

Today is Day 5 of the World Series. So today is the day we all get to find out if the Chicago Cubs still has a chance of winning the World Series or if the Cleveland Indians will win their fourth and final victory. It's morning and it's way too early to know the end results since the baseball game in question takes place in the evening. But that leaves the rest of the day to figure out what I'm going to do. Whatever I do, it's going to start with eating breakfast and I'll figure it all out beyond that. So I guess I'll type two more sentences. And with two more sentences typed out, it's time to figure out what to eat for breakfast today.
November 2, 2016
It all started on November 1, 2016 at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio. The Chicago Cubs defeated the Cleveland Indians in the sixth game of the World Series 9 to 3. And now we go forward in time to November 2, 2016 for the seventh and final game in the 2016 World Series. Well the moment that was predicted in the film Back to the Future Part Two has been accomplished. Ok, The Chicago Cubs won the World Series after a 108 year long drought slightly one year after the predicted date of October 21, 2015 at 4:45 P.M.. And it was against the Cleveland Indians instead of being against the Florida Mariners. The Chicago Cubs defeated the Cleveland Indians 8 to 7. While flying cars, clothes that dry themselves, hover boards that actually hover instead of looking like motorized sideways skateboards and computer controlled weather service is still a long way off, Jaws 19 is not possible right now because Hollywood hasn't made it past the fourth installment Jaws: The Revenge. Queen Diana is sadly impossible because she died on August 31, 1997 (Plus Queen Elizabeth II is still alive). There is one Back to the Future Part Two prediction I'm hoping will happen. In the film Back to the Future Part Two, there is a portion of the "Futuristic" edition of USA Today which states (For those who pressed the pause button and has really good eyes) President Says She's Tired of reporters asking the same questions. Could this be predicting Hillary Clinton getting elected President of the United States. If so, that too appears to be four years off the predicted course. The Gentle Reader and I will find out.
One of the biggest curiosities of the 2016 World Series was that none of the actors from the 1989 comedy film Major League showed up either in the audience nor to throw the opening pitch. You would've expected at least to have Charlie Sheen show up to toss the opening pitch while dressed and acting like Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn, but I guess Charlie Sheen had other things to occupy his time with. On the other side of the fence, the Chicago Cubs had super fan Bill Murray along to cheer them on. Gosh darn the luck.
And as I'm lost in thought during the early days of Autumn, here are some photos of Gillian Jacobs.
