IS IT SAFE TO CALL IT SUMMERTIME?

Is it safe to call it Summer or do we have to wait a few more days.  Technically, it's not officially Summer until the Summer Solstice.  And the Summer Solstice is normally decided by the placement of the stars, the planets and the Earth's Sun.  So based entirely on all that, then perhaps it's the Summer Solstice right now.  And if it's the Summer Solstice right now, then it's officially Summer.  And if that's the case, Springtime has been replaced by Summer.  Perhaps.  I'll need to check the calendar just to be sure.
