It's best to walk carefully when there is ice on the sidewalk and on the streets. It's not a good idea to walk using normal speed. Well, you can try to walk normal speed on ice covered sidewalk and streets, but you won't get very far. And you might find yourself slipping and sliding quite a bit. It's far better to walk carefully on ice covered sidewalk and streets. And when you're back inside the house, then it's good to walk at normal speed. Because you no longer have ice below your feet and you're no longer in danger of slipping and sliding. It's the process of reaching the house which tends to be a challenge though.
