THE 2018 WINTER OLYMPIC GAMES IN PYEONGCHANG, SOUTH KOREA

The 123rd International Olympic Committee (IOC) Session in Durban, South Africa chose Pyeongchang, South Korea as the site for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games by a vote of sixty-three votes. Munich, Germany was second place by twenty-five votes. Annecy, France was third place by seven points. So off we go to PyeongChang, South Korea for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games. As for the medals, Germany is leading with four gold medals, one silver medal and two bronze medals. The Netherlands is in second place with four gold medals, two silver medals and two bronze medals. Norway is in third place with two gold medals, four silver medals and three bronze medals. Canada is in fourth place with two gold medals, four silver medals and one bronze medals. The United States of America is in fifth place with two gold medals, one silver medal and one bronze. The host country, South Korea shares eighth place with Austria (Both countries have one gold medals, zero silver medals and zero bronze medals). The other host country Unified Korea is in last place with zero gold medals, zero silver medals and zero bronze medals. Unified Korea only qualified for Women's Hockey and they lost to both Switzerland 8 to 0 and also to Sweden 8 to 0. Unified Korean Women's Hockey Team plays Japan on February 14, 2018---Valentines Day.
