SHE'S LIVING A RATHER SPLEDID LIFE

Born on March 8, 1972,  Angela Ruth Hart aka Angie Hart was born in Adelaide, South Australia, she was born in a Christian Commune to a family of Christian missionaries.  Upon moving to another Christian missionary in Melbourne, Victoria,  Australia, Angie Hart developed an interest in music and alcohol tavern drinking.  She frequently drank alcohol at Fitzroy's Punters Club Hotel aka The Punters Club (Australia's version of CBGB).  Upon learning that she was underage, the bouncer at the tavern, Simon Austin escorted her out of the alcohol tavern and gave her a job as lead singer for his rock band Frente! (A different version had Angie Hart's sister Rebecca  Hart (who was a bartender at the Punters Club) was the one who got Angie Hart employed as the lead singer at Frente!).  Simon Austin and Angie Hart was a couple before breaking up.  However the breakup of the romance between Simon Austin and Angie Hart came when Frente! was starting to gain momentum and caused the group to break up after only two albums just on the verge of international success.  
Angie Hart then formed a brand new rock group called Splended.  While Frente! was mostly a collaboration between Angie Hart and Simon Austin, Splended was mostly a collaboration between Angie Hart and spouse at the time Jesse Tobias.  The marriage was the starting point for the band and the divorce was mostly the end of the band two albums later.  Angie Hart briefly tried to ressurect Splended! before releasing solo albums under her own name. 

 

 

 

 

I N APPRECIATION OF FAIRUZA BALK

Fairuza Balk has been working non-stop since 1983, but most people don't know who she is.  She played Dorthy Gale in the often forgotten film Return to Oz.  She was Aissa,  the evil feme fatal taking orders from Marlon Brando in the Island of Dr. Moreau.  She was Lucinda when she was busy learning about Things To Do in Denver When You're Dead.  The fictional character she played, Nancy Downs, tossed Skeet Ulrich out of a window and smashed his skull across the concrete below in the Craft.  She played Cecile in the film Valmont (A reworking of Les Dangerous Liasons).  She was named Vicki Vallencourt and made out with Adam Sandler in the Waterboy.  Yes Gentle Reader, I'm just as baffled as you are as to why Adam Sandler is still working in Hollywood.  Yes, Rein Over Me was good, but most of his other films are garbage.  Anyway, I always enjoyed Fairuza Balk.  Not only is she sexually seductive, she normally gives a fantastic performance---Even when the film she's starring (Or playing a supporting role in) is falling apart around her.  With luck, she's be a household name.  Until then Gentle Reader, Fairuza Balk will remain our hidden secret living within Hollywood.
