He married Carrie Fisher in 1983 and divorced her in 1984. Paul Simon married rock star Edie Brickell of the New Bohemians and the Gaddabouts fame in May 30, 1992 and they produced three children together. It was in the house pictured below that trouble began. Paul Simon and Edie Brickell got into an argument. Paul Simon would rather leave the house instead of finishing the argument. Edie Brickell blocked Paul Simon's effort to leave the house. Edie Brickell's mother, Larry Linden, witnessed the argument and dialed 911. It's not clear if Paul Simon filed a domestic abuse charge against Edie Brickell or vice versa. Both ended up getting arrested since that question was never made clear. Perhaps a clear answer will be found under oath in the court of law.
