THE RISE OF KIM DEAL AND KELLEY DEAL

Kim Deal and Kelley Deal are identical twin sisters who got their start in Dayton, Ohio as a duet named Kim and Kelley.  They never recorded any albums and eventually broke up.  Kim Deal found employment as bas guitar player and mostly mute sidekick to  Black Francis (born Charles Thompson IV) on the rock band the Pixies.  Kim Deal mostly didn't write any songs and was mostly sidekick to everything that Black Francis did in his musical career.

After the breakup of the Pixies, Kim Deal resurrected Kim and Kelley under the name the Breeders, though without Kelley Deal and with Tanya Donelly starting on Pod and later Joesphine Wiggs on the Safari ep.  Kelley Deal joined on the Safari ep.  Tanya Donelly left after the recording of the Safari ep.  Josephine Wiggs left after the Last Splash album.  Kelley Deal briefly left after being busted for drugs after Last Splash only to rejoin on Title TK.  Kim Deal and Kelley Deal are still recording albums together as the Breeders.

The Breeders lineup that performed concerts after the release of the Head to Toe Ep also recorded an album under the title The Amps when Kim Deal briefly lost legal control over the name the Breeders.
Kelley Deal played a mostly mute sidekick to Sebastian Bach and Jimmy Flemion on the rock group the Last of the Hard Men before breaking up after only one album.
Kelley Deal recorded a solo album without her identical twin sister Kim Deal.
And everybody is waiting with anticipation for the next rock album project from Kim Deal and Kelley Deal.  (Clockwise) Identical twins Kim Deal, Kelley Deal, Josphine Wiggs and Jim Macpherson.
