THIS STILL WON'T BURN

Susan Tedeschi was born on November 9, 1970 in Boston, Massachusetts.  Italian-American at birth, Susan Tedeschi's last name is Italian for the word Germans.  Essentially, the translation of Susan Tedeschi's name is Susan German.  However, simply calling her Susan Tedeschi has a much cooler sound to it.  Praying in African-American baptist churches and a fan of African-American blues musicians such as Mississippi John Hurt and Sam John Hopkins aka Lighten' Hopkins had a huge impact on her life.  She started playing in other peoples band starting at age 13 and at age 18 was lead singer of a temporary existence rock band The Smokin' Section.  Choosing to play blues music had been a lifelong interest for her.  She sang in an African-American Gospel choir at Berklee College of Music located in her hometown of Boston, Massachusetts.   When she graduated Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor of Music degree in Musical composition, she chose a career as a rock star who lays blues music exclusively.   She released her debut album in 1995 and was starting to be generate popularity in the blues music genre when she was became part of the Lilith Fair in 1998 and 1999. She went from being a supporting act to the main act of rock concert tours.
 Derek Trucks used to be part of the Allman Brothers Band as their slide guitarist before quitting to start his own band called the Derek Trucks Band.  The Derek Trucks Band released nine albums.  He married Susan Tedeschi in 2001 and by 2010, Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks merged their careers together to form an eleven person band called the Tedeschi Trucks Band which is still recording and touring to this exact second.  Susan Tedeschi and her spouse Derek Trucks produced a son in 2002 qnd a daughter in 2004.
