WHEN YOU WISH UPON A STAR

It's based upon two novels Alice in Wonderland and it's sequel Through the Looking Glass written by Charles Lutwidge Dodgson aka  Lewis Carroll.  Both Alice in Wonderland and it's sequel Through the Looking Glass are often merged into the same story with characters from one novel who never interacted with characters in another novel interacting like close friends in the movie.  And there's been lots of film adaptations.  There are forty-three film adaptations grand total stretching from the silent film era of 1903 to the most recent film adaptation of Alice in Wonderland released in 2010 starring Mia Wasikowska as Alice.

Now then, you heard about the television show Once Upon a Time.  Once Upon a Time is essentially Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (And this is after two movies Mirror Mirror and the film Snow White and the Huntsman hit the movie theaters and proved to be blockbuster smash hits) with Rumpelstiltskin, Belle (From Beauty and the Beast), Little Red Riding Hood, the Mad Hatter and assorted other fictional book characters (Mostly fairy tale characters, but other genres of literature tossed in too) living in a small town located in Maine (Or at least, nearby New York City).  And the television series Once Upon a Time has been so successful, that there's going to be a spin off series entitled Once: Wonderland.  And yes, it's going to be a television series adaptation of the book Alice in Wonderland and it's sequel Through the Looking Glass.  In theory, Once: Wonderland is supposed to be a closed ended mini-series, but it could get a full twenty-two episode multi-season order if the initial mini-series episodes proves to be success full.  And the newest version of Alice (Who travels through Wonderland) has already been cast.  The new version of Alice for the television series Once:  Wonderland is named Sophie Lowe.

Once: Wonderland will start shooting episodes this Summer and will be broadcast Winter 2013---2014.  This project isn't listed on www.imdb.com yet, but that could always change as we get closer to the start of the proposed new television series shooting date.
