WORN HER DOWN
Rachael Yamagata was born in Arlington, Virginia on September 23, 1977. After attending Holton-Arms School for Girls located at Bethesda, Maryland, Northwestern University located in Evanston and Chicago, Illinois and Vassar College located in Poughkeepsie, New York, Rachael chose a career in music instead. It's not known if she ever graduated college at all because she ended up as a vocalist for the Chicago originated jazz soul music group Bumpus on their first two albums before seeking greener pastures as a solo performer. Her first job as vocalist for Bumpus was in 1999 and her final job as vocalist for Bumpus was in 2000 before releasing her debut ep album in 2003. Her latest solo album was released in 2011. Rachael Yamagata is recording music and touring to this exact moment of time.
