Night has fallen and has prevailed across the sky. Darkness has covered the land and chased away the light. And so the clock ticks closer to midnight. The month of May will soon be close at hand. The quiet suburbs of Columbus, Ohio has become quieter than usual with the night taking dominance across the sky. Morning and daylight will return. Before that happens, the Gentle Reader and I shall enjoy the night while the midnight hour gets closer. The night has a wonderful presence of it's own.

FALLING ASLEEP TO THE SOUND OF THE POURING RAIN
Well, it looks as if I'll be falling asleep to the sound of the pouring rain. It wasn't raining for most of the day and most of the evening. The rain didn't start coming until recently. I guess rain really can't get started until it's dark outside. Still, rain falling in the darkness is better than no rain at all. At least I won't have to worry about a drought happening anytime soon. And with the moon lit streets soaked by the falling rain, the puddles to sparkle in the small amount of light that can be had. I don't have an umbrella. However, I'm not expecting to wander into the night anytime soon anyway.

AS THE CLOCK SLOWLY TICKS FORWARD INTO THE FUTURE
It's impossible to prevent the clock from ticking forward into the future. It simply can't be done. And if the Gentle Reader isn't ready for the arrival of the future, then the Gentle Reader will be found unprepared. Time has a habit of being merciless in that manner. And so I look at the clock as seconds turn into minutes which turn into hours. Hours turn into days. Days turn into weeks. Weeks turn into months. Months turn into years. Years turn into decades. Time can pass the Gentle Reader by quicker than expected. It's always a good idea to have a plan for the future. Just saying something will happen in the future, but not making any action to make such a plan a reality isn't good enough. You need to have a plan for the future and actually set such a plan into action. It's really the only way to properly plan for the future. Because the future is only a few seconds away.

AFTER THE RAIN HAS FALLEN CLOSE TO THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY
The rain has stopped falling Gentle Reader. The rain started 8:00 in the evening yesterday with such drama with thunder, lightening and hale. But the weather subsided into a gentle steady rain. The sky is still cloudy, but no rain has fallen---At least not yet. There's still a chance that the rain would fall once again, but I'm not sure if such a thing will occur. What I do know is that it's not raining. It's possible for me to venture out into the world (Provided that I wear a warm coat). But I'm don't have a destination in mind. I got plenty of time to make up my mind if a decision to take a walk around the neighborhood becomes a possibility for me.
