There was a table on the porch behind the house overlooking a field of grass (That was once slated for seven houses to be built, the building project ran out of money so there are storm drains and fire hydrants in the middle of a field of grass). Then there was this massive wind storm with a huge downpour of rain. The table made of flimsy metal with a table top made of glass was shattered, twisted apart and ruined. The giant umbrella in the middle of it all thrown several feet into the neighbor's yard. It took a while for Mom and me to sweep up all the glass. Well, anyway, a new table just arrived roughly forty-eight hours ago. The new table is made of very heavy and durable steel. My brother Mitchell and I dragged it from the front porch to the back porch. Mitchell dragged it out of the box and took twenty minutes to assemble it. So now it's possible to eat meals on the back porch while looking at the field of grass behind the house once again. Happy endings is possible for those who are willing to wait for a bit.
And as I'm lost in thought while eating breakfast at the table outside, here are some photos of Yeoh Choo-Kheng aka Michelle Yeoh (Traditional Chinese Name
楊紫瓊 and Simplified Chinese Name
杨紫琼).
