It occurred during the administration of President Lyndon Johnson. Passed fifty years ago, the Wilderness Act of 1964 contains the following passage and I quote...
“A wilderness, in contrast with those areas where man and his own works dominate the landscape, is hereby recognized as an area where the earth and its community of life are untrammeled by man, where man himself is a visitor who does not remain.”
And to celebrate the Wilderness Act of 1964 and the unspoiled greatness of living within nature instead of destroying nature is Sheryl Crow, Laura Dern and their mutual friend named Cheryl.
