I was either not born yet, in elementary school, junior high or high school when all this happened so I pretty much missed everything. However, Andrew Warhola or better known as Andy Warhol was born on August 6, 1928 and he died of sudden post-operative cardiac arrhythmia after what Medical Doctors claimed as a successful Gallbladder surgery, but actually was a failure considering the circumstances on February 22, 1987. And through it all, he either held court in his combination home/art studio called The Factory or he held court at the Chelsea Hotel. There were eight different versions of the Factory because he relocated eight times between 1963 to 1987. He painted pictures of Campbell Soup Cans and screen print art. And he defined post modern pop art for an entire generation. He was also the center of Liberal ideology. His parties was the Who's Who of the rich and famous. He advocated that everybody will be famous for fifteen minutes. And when he died, they smashed the mold to pieces. There was nobody like Andy Warhol before and there never will be anything like Andy Warhol again.
And as I'm lost in thought about post modern pop art, here are some photos of Amber Valletta, Naomi Campbell, Stephanie Seymour, Shalom Harlow and Jamie King.
