So Emma Stone has been casted to play Gwen Stacy in the upcoming film
The Amazing Spiderman. Emma Stone is also replacing Bryce Dallas Howard in the role of Gwen Stacy. Since Mary Jane Parker isn't in the fourth chapter of the Spiderman film series, I'm guessing that the Emma Stone version of Gwen Stacy will be more successful in her relationship Peter Parker aka Spiderman than the Bryce Dallas Howard version of Gwen Stacy (Who was much more of a romance blocking character than an actual female lead). The Amazing Spiderman film shoot that's currently taking place. The film will be released next year in 2012. Andrew Garfield replaces Toby McGuire as the second incarnation of Peter Parker aka Spiderman. Perhaps evil Peter Parker from the third film was a bit too much for comic book readers.
Rhys Ifans as Doctor Curt Conner aka the Lizard---The main villain of
The Amazing Spiderman. He was played by Dylan Baker in the first three films. I guess Rhys Ifans had a scarier appearance
Dennis Leary as Gwen Stacy's police officer father George Stacy.
Martin Sheen and Sally Field as Uncle Ben Parker and Aunt May Parker. The Spiderman series version of the Kent Family Farm. Don't get too attached to the fictional character of Uncle Ben Parker. Uncle Ben dies near the start of the film. Sadly, Aunt May continues on as a widow.
