AS WE LOOK TOWARDS THE FUTURE

Time's up and it's too late.  The year 2013 is now past tense.  The year 2014 is present tense.  There's nothing that can be done about that.  So what will the year 2014 be like.  Will it be a year of happiness or will it be a year of sadness.  The year 2014 will be a year of happiness if the Gentle Reader chooses it to take that form.  The year 2014 will be a year of sadness if the Gentle Reader chooses to take that form.  The future is a blank page and there is no such thing as predestination.  The future is what you make it out to be.  The Gentle Reader doesn't have to live in sadness when a life of happiness is within reach the entire time.  And refusing to reach for happiness because sadness is more comforting or because the Gentle Reader feels that pain is a deserved punishment for some vague crime isn't acceptable.  And in the end, the year 2014 is a chance for self improvement.  And the chance for self improvement has the potential to turn the year 2014 into the best year ever.
