Don't be alarmed. You're not looking at the wrong photograph gallery. These photos are found in the Cleveland Plains Dealer and were taken in Downtown Cleveland, Ohio. Downtown Cleveland, Ohio is being turned into New York City for a huge Hollywood action adventure filming project.
Once again, comic book super-heroes walk the Earth. And so the Marvel Comics film The Avengers (not to be confused with the James Bond inspired British Broadcasting Corporation television series about John Steed by the same name) starts filming in Cleveland, Ohio this Sunday. Outdoor building sets are already getting built for the big day. Huge crowds gather in hopes of catching a glimpse of their favorite Hollywood stars playing comic book super-heroes. Chris Evens as Captain America (aka Steve Rogers), Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye (Clint Barton), Robert Downey Junior as Iron Man (Tony Stark), Mark Ruffalo as Hulk (David Bruce Banner), Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury (The comic book version was Caucasian, the film version is African-American), Tom Hiddleson as Loki, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff), Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, Amanda Righetti as Sharon Carter, Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill with Joss Whedon (Who created and produced Buffy the Vampire Slayer) directing. It's going to be a huge epic event and it's starting in Cleveland, Ohio tomorrow. Scarlett Johansson and Gwyneth Paltrow are traveling by airplane to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport right now this very second even as we speak. This will be a huge boost to the Cleveland economy.
