GETTING A KICK FROM CHAMPAIGN

Exactly what does it mean when somebody gets a kick from champaign.  Would such a person be drunk?  And if such a person was drunk, would it be a chronic condition or a one time only affair.  And if it were a chronic condition, does that mean that only getting drunk from champaign can lead to happiness.  I'm only asking this because champaign is expensive.  And only getting drunk from champaign is extremely expensive.  And it's difficult to afford getting drunk all the time on champaign on a minimum wage employment salary.  Don't get me wrong, champaign is better tasting than beer.  Though I always equate champaign with New Years Day.  New Years Day is only one day a year.  So what happens to champaign for the rest of the year once New Years Day is over.
