I'VE SEEN THE FUTURE AND IT ISN'T PLEASENT

And this is the biggest question of them all.  If the world comes to an end, what will the end of the world look like?  Would the end of the world look like the Terminator series, will it look like the Planet of the Apes series or will it look like the Mad Max film series.  None of those options is hopeful looking and excessively violent looking.  However, the end of the world Mad Max style has cool looking cars getting smashed to pieces in what amounts to reckless demolition derby.  However, it would be better if the future was peaceful and non-violent as well as uneventful.
