Is it possible to have lived in an alternate reality, then erased that alternate reality from existence and then relived the entirety of a fifty year period, but this time rewriting history beyond repair. So that all the crucial predictions of the future turns out to be false. And so that all the false predictions of the future turns out to be genuine. And suppose the only way for the alternate reality to return to existence is to commit a felony. But since it's not illegal to refuse to commit a felony, the alternate reality never returns and become a forgotten dust covered footnote that few if any remembers and has little impact on anything. I guess people who's entire lives is anchored by this alternate reality coming true is in for a really huge shock. Can you really have memories of an erased alternate reality? Can you really feel nostalgia for an erased alternate reality? Perhaps. Perhaps not. I guess we'll never know for certain.
