A TALE OF TWO ROCK BANDS

Ok, it isn't complicated at first, but it will be.  So bear with me. 
First, I shall start with the Christian heavy metal band Flyleaf.  Lacey Nicole Sturm was born under the name Lacey Nicole Mosley.  She legally changed her name when she married the guitar player for the rock band Kairos named Joshua Sturm.  Anyway, Lacey Strum was born in Arlington, Texas on September 4, 1981 (Now I really feel old.  That's when I attended my second year of Junior High).  Anyway, Lacey Strum is a born again Christian who joined the Christian heavy metal band Passerby.  They failed to land RCA, but landed Octone Records instead.  However, legal courtroom conflicts forced Passerby to change their name to Flyleaf.  After four full length album and six eps (Two under the original name Passerby), Lacey Nicole Strum announced that's quitting the band starting in the year 2012 in favor of a solo album career.  More on that later.

 

Allow me to get sidetracked for a little bit. 

Kristen May, Brian Little, his brother Drew Little and Jason Douglas all were born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri suburb of Blue Springs.  Kristen May was first a member of the rock band Red Authentic which ended when Kristen May tried and failed to attend college in Nashville, Tennessee.  She returned to Kansas City, Missouri and tried to form a rock band with her brothers.  When that failed, Kristen May, Brian Little, his brother Drew Little and Jason Douglas formed a rock band named Veda.  However, since there was already a rock band called Veda, the group name was changed to Vedera.  Two eps and one album was released before the rock group broke up.

 And now the completely and utterly confused Gentle Reader is wondering how the breakup of the rockband Vedera relevent to Lacey Strum quitting the rock band Flyleaf.  Why that's easy.  Since Kristen May is now unemployed following the breakup of Vedera, she's now free to take over as the new lead singer of the rock band Flyleaf.  Allthough Kristen May has yet to record a Flyleaf album as the group's lead singer, she's singing lead vocals on Flyleaf's multi-city to support their 2012 album New Horizons.  What happens next will be discovered by the Gentle Reader and myself in the year 2013 (Which is one day less than a month away).
