THE ABANDONED BUILDING THAT HASN'T BEEN USED FOR QUITE A WHILE AWAITS YOU

So you're walking down a street that you don't know.  Do you turn around and walk down a street that you do know?  Heck with that.  Walk down the street that you don't know.  It's more interesting that way.  You find a building that hasn't been used for quite a while.  It's possible to sneak inside, but you're not sure if it's safe to do so.  Do you enter the unknown building that hasn't been used or do you run towards the street that you do know.  There are two ways this could end.
1.  Run towards the street that you do know.  Pause for a few minutes.  Run back towards the street that you don't know and enter the building that hasn't been used for quite a while.  The door slams shut and locks behind you.
2.  Throw caution into the wind and enter the building that hasn't been used for quite a while.  The door slams shut and locks behind you.
Those are the only two options available to you.  And what you find next changes everything.  What you find next is...
