CABLE TELEVISION SHOWS

The television series Portlandia has just finished filming it's third season.  The scetch comedy series staring Carrie Brownstein (She used to be the lead singer of  the all women rock band Sleater-Kinney before the group broke up.  She's now the lead singer of the all women rock band Wild Flag.) and Fred Armisen.  The first season featured Aimee Mann and Sarah McLachlan in an episode entitled Aimee.  You don't see Aimee Mann and Sarah McLachlan doing much television and it's always a special event when the two women do get the chance to appear on television.
Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen gives Aimee Mann tips on how to clean the stove.

A flippant reference to an actual song that Aimee Mann recorded as the theme song for the film MagnoliaSave Me was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song only to lose to the Phil Collins (Lead singer #2 for the rock band Genesis) solo album song You'll Be In My Heart which was used in the Disney cartoon film Tarzan.  It's an inside joke.
Aimee Mann is shocked by Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen's pinata of Sarah McLachlan.
Aimee Man cried out, "Hey, cut it out.  This is totally uncool.  Sarah's generally a very nice person."

Sarah McLachlan said, "Thanks for sticking up for me back there."
Aimee Mann replied, "Hey, it's no problem."
Sarah McLachlan asked Aimee Mann, "Did they just made a pinata out of me?  Who does that?"
