Sheryl Crow was born in Kennett, Missouri on February 11, 1962. Sheryl was born a middle child. Kathy Crow and Karen Crow are her older sisters and Steven Crow is her younger brother. Both of her parents were employed with her father, Wendell Crow, playing trumpet and employed as a lawyer and her mother Bernice Crow employed as a music teacher. After graduating Kennett High School, she attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri (I lived there for three years). She graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in degree in Music Composition, Performance, and Education. She found employment as a music teacher in Kellison Elementry School in Fenton, Missouri. However, working as a music teacher in elementry school wasn't her interest and she quit her job as an elementry school teacher for the life as a rock star.
Sheryl Crow worked as a backup singer for Michael Jackson from 1987–1989 when he was touring to support his album Bad. She also acted and sang in the failed police procedural series Cop Rock (She played a singing and dancing plains clothes police officer). Her September 22, 1992 era debut album was never released. Her second album, the Tuesday Night Music Club was a smash hit success and made Sheryl Crow a household name. Her latest album was released in 2010.
