SHE WANTS YOU TO HOLD ON

Let's see, this might be confusing.  Ok, Bijou Phillips (Born in Greenwich, Connecticut on April 1, 1980) is the daughter of legendary rock star John Phillips and his ex-wife Geneviève Waïte.  MacKenzie Phillips (Born in Alexandria, Virginia on November 10, 1959) is the daughter of legendary rock star John Phillips and his ex-wife Susan Adams.  And Chynna Phillips (Born under the name Gilliam Chynna Phillips) is the daughter of legendary rock star John Phillips and his ex-wife (and The Mamas & the Papas bandmate) Michelle Phillips in Los Angeles, California on February 12, 1968.  Most of Chynna Phillips albums has been under the rock group identity name of Wilson Phillips.  Wilson Phillips is a rock group trio with Carnie and Wendy Wilson---The second generation Hollywood royalty daughters of Brian Wilson (From the Beach Boys). 
Wilson Phillips started in 1989 and kept going until 1993.  And then the group reunited in 2004 and aside from Chynna Phillips collaboration with Vaughan Penn, Wilson Phillips is still touring.  Chynna Phillips was born under the name Gilliam Chynna Phillips in Los Angeles, California on February 12, 1968 (Chynna Phillips and I are the same age).  Carnie Wilson was also born in Los Angeles, California on April 29, 1968.  Wendy Wilson was also born in Los Angeles, California one year later than Chynna and Carnie on  October 16, 1969.  Wendy Wilson (The Weight Impaired Wilson Phillips girl) lost weight to become super-model thin for the Wilson Phillips album California only to gain it all back again.   Despite the lack of brand new material and dependent on 1980's nostalgia (And the nostalgia of their famous fathers too), Wilson Phillips continue to tour to this very moment.

 

And when Chynna Phillips broke up with Carnie Wilson and her younger sister Wendy Wilson in 1993, Carnie and Wendy released a Christmas album in 1993 before collaborating with their father Brian Wilson.  Originally distant and noncommunicative with both of his daughters, Brian Wilson used the 1997 as an opportunity to get in touch with both of his children.

 

 Carnie Wilson released two albums without Wendy Wilson in 2006 and 2007.

Chynna Phillips kept breaking up with Carnie and Wendy Wilson.  She recorded her first and only solo album in hopes of being able to shed both of the Wilson Sisters.  The General Public is still waiting for her second solo album to be recorded and released.

Chynna Phillips did record a born again Christian based album with Vaughan Penn, though the collaboration was short lived.

Vaughan Penn has a solo career beyond the rock group duet Chynna & Vaughan which she formed with Chynna Phillips.  Perhaps Chynna & Vaughan will release a second Born Again Christian album together again someday.
