The world of television lost a huge talent recently. Bonnie Franklin, who played the role of Ann Romano on the classic nine season long television sitcom One Day at a Time has died of pancreatic cancer at the still youthful age of 69. Bonnie Franklin had an impressive acting talent and she'll be missed. For those who are not aware about the television show One Day at a Time, it's sort of similar to the television series Gilmore Girls, except One Day at a Time predates that television show by at least twenty-five years (One Day at a Time premiered in 1975 and Gilmore Girls premiered in 2000). Bonnie Franklin plays Ann Romano as a newly divorced parent of two teenage daughters who moves into a run down vaguely slummy looking apartment building supervised by blue color working class handyman Dwayne F. Schneider (played by Pat Harrington Jr.) in Indianapolis, Indiana. One Day at a Time was ahead of it's time because Ann Romano wasn't a widow, she's just merely divorced and she was an unmarried single parent of two daughters for most of the television show's existence.

Mackenzie Phillips is the second generation Hollywood royalty daughter of rock star John Phillips of the legendary rock band the Mamas & the Papas. Mackenzie Phillips is also the half-sister (Same father, but different mothers) of famous celebrities Bijou Phillips and Chynna Phillips (of the rock band trio Wilson Phillips). Mackenzie Phillips is also the half sister of Tamerlane Phillips and the direct biologic sister of Jeffrey Phillips.
