It's been said that hosting the Academy Awards telecast is the toughest job in Hollywood. It's easy to get bad reviews and get horribly panned and it's tough to get a good review and lots of rewards. Billy Crystal's attempt to host the 2012 Academy Awards was lambasted for being too safe and conventional. Seth McFarlen's attempt to host the 2013 Academy Awards has been lambasted for being too unconventional and sexist. And sometimes the person trying to host the Acedemy Awards can't win no matter how hard that person tries. And I missed the 2013 Academy Awards. The news regarding the 2013 Acedemy Awards was learned after the fact through the Internet. Ah yes, the Internet. And if there's a way I can view certain portions on Youtube, then I'll be thankful for that too. So I do get the information eventually, though not at the speed that's desired. And hopefully, the next person stuck hosting the Acedemy Awards will actually get good reviews next time. Hey, there's always room for miracles.
