THE FINAL DAYS OF 2009

The keys to my bicycle lock broke off into the lock itself. As a result, a brand new bike lock has been purchased. I have college tuition bills to pay. That would result to a strict limited budget that I need to follow. Creating a budget and sticking to it must be my New Years Day resolution for 2009. That college tuition debt must be paid off as quickly as possible. I don't like having financial debt hanging over my head constantly.

TYPING AWAY IN THE COMPUTER LAB IN THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY

It's hard to imagine what life was like before the invention of desktop computers. It's even harder to imagine what life was like before the general public was allowed access to the internet. Yet, such possibilities were a reality when I was born. The first desktop computer was introduced when I was moving from Central Elementry School to Shepherd Junior High. The internet was first made available to the general public when I was starting college class. I still remember a time when people didn't use cell phones nearly so often. Yes, technology is moving past very quickly. With luck, the human race will be able to apply computer technology with maturity, dignity and grace.

IN THE MONTH OF DECEMBER

It snowed for a little bit, but the snow didn't stick to the ground. I'm still working on my Christmas shopping. The Christmas shopping is going to be low budget. I can't afford to pay for anything too expensive. Minimum wage employment at K-Mart is my only source of income. It's not the greatest source of income, but it's better than nothing. New Years Day is only around the corner. Very soon, we'll be reaching the end of a decade. It's amazing how quickly time tends to fly right past.

WINTER IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

So begins my ninth month of residence in Cleveland, Ohio. I'm finally employed after seven months of unemployment. I'm working in the utility department at K-Mart. I'm overflowing with happiness that I'm finally employed again. It's great to earn a regular paycheck again. It's hard to believe that Christmas is almost here. Time has flown past way too quickly.

AUTTUMN SLOWLY BECOMES WINTER

I finally found employment after seven months of unemployment. I'm working minimum wage at K-Mart. It's fantastic to be employed after being out of work for such a long time. It's great to finally earn a steady paycheck again. My life is certainly improving signficantly.

STEVEN POST HITCHCOCK IS FINALLY EMPLOYED AGAIN

I'll be earning my first paycheck in seven months a few days from now. It's going to be a good feeling to finally earn a regular paycheck again. After seven months of job hunting in a recession based economy, I finally found employment. Now I can start paying off my government college student loans. It's going to be a good feeling to be debt free again. November certainly has been a good month for me.

AUTTUMN IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

I finally found employment after seven months of unemployment. I'm now an employee of K-Mart. It's exciting to finally find employment after job hunting non-stop for seven months. The most delightful benifit is that I finally get to pay off the college tuition loans that I owe the United States Government. It's going to be a good feeling when I finally get that financial debt obligation behind me. Minimum wage employment is my exclusive source of income. I need employment at K-Mart to fulfill all the necessary financial obligations.

OVER THE TOP AND THROUGH THE WOODS BY A SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL LIGHT OF DAY

So begins a brand new months. November brings us Thanksgiving. After Thanksgiving will bring us Christmas and later New Years Day. Yes, all three hollidays are really huge and crucial. Yes, I'll be shoveling the driveway through at least two (possibly even all three) of the three major hollidays. It's been twelve years since I needed to shovel the snow from anything. I'm prepared for snow shoveling. Snow shoveling is great exercise.

AUTTUMN RAIN IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

I'm still unemployed. I've been unemployed for almost seven months. I thought I would be employed by now, but my efforts to find employment keeps getting hindered. I won't give up. I know I'll find employment again. The leaves have been changing color. Only a fourth of the auttumn trees has fallen to the ground. The rest of the auttumn leaves are still attached to tree branches. The auttumn leaves has always been the best part of auttumn---As long as I don't have to rake up the leaves once they fall to the ground. Still, raking up auttumn leaves is a fantastic source of exercise.

THE ADVENTURES OF STEVEN POST HITCHCOCK IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

I have experienced an overnight turning point beyond recognition. Established continuity has been altered beyond recognition. I'm no longer a resident of Columbus, Ohio. Those days are gone forever. I'm now a resident of Cleveland, Ohio. Relocation to Cleveland, Ohio is a necessary stage in my evolution. I have no regrets about relocating from Columbus, Ohio to Cleveland, Ohio. There's nothing left for me to do in Columbus, Ohio. My only concern regarding my relocation from Columbus, Ohio to Cleveland, Ohio is my six month and fourteen day long unemployment. I didn't expect to be unemployed for such a long period of time. I'm not discouraged about my continued inability to find employment. I know I'll become employed again. I simply need to be patient. Good things will come to those who are patient and persistent when filling out job application forms.

AUTTUMN IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

The weather is getting colder. I still don't have a car. I transport from place to place on a bicycle. I'm getting fantastic exercise when I travel by bicycle. The first thing I've learned about Cleveland, Ohio is that it's bigger than Columbus, Ohio. It takes longer to travel from Strongsville to Shaker Heights because of the massive distances between the two suburbs of Cleveland.

STEVEN POST HITCHCOCK IS SEARCHING FOR EMPLOYMENT IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

It wasn't supposed to rain today, but rain was falling anyway. It isn't raining anymore, but it was soggy outside for most of the morning and early afternoon. There isn't much going on in my life aside from being unemployed for six months non-stop. I'm used to earning roughly $800.00 to $1,000.00 per months. Now I'm earning $0.00 for the past six months. I've been accustomed to being unemployed for only two weeks. The flawless job hunting skills that worked so perfectly in the past isn't working anymore. I need to relearn how to find employment. I'll certainly become a better person because of it.

IT'S RAINING IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

Summer has been pretty much concluded. Now it's time for Auttumn to arrive. I'm still job hunting. Not much results. However, I do get to have the odd occasional job interview. It's not easy to go job hunting in a recession, but I'm not giving up. I'm surprised how quickly summer has sped right past us. I wish summer was a few months longer. It's not easy to go job hunting in colder weather---Especially with a bicycle as the only mode of transportation. However, I will continue my job hunt come rain or shine. I will become employed again.

I'M STILL SEARCHING FOR EMPLOYMENT IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

I'm praying in church more often these days. I spent the past twelve years avoiding church. Now I'm starting to reconsider my stance towards religion. I'm not used to being unemployed for six months non-stop. I've found employment easily in the past. From 1989 to March 2009, I've been unemployed for only two weeks maximum. Suddenly, the job search techniques that has worked so perfectly in the past isn't working anymore. It's frustrating because I'm not used to unemployment for such a long period of time. I need to reexamine the way I fill out job applications. With luck, I'll find employment if I succeed in learning from my mistakes.

SEPTEMBER IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

I only have four minutes left in the computer lab in the Cuyahoga County Public Library. I'm checking my assorted e-mails, internet blogs and job hunting web sites. I'm leaving no stone unturned. It's not easy to job hunt in a recession. However, I'm not giving up. I know I'll find employment if I'm persistant enough.

ANOTHER DAY IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

We're nearing the end of the fifth month of my residence in Cleveland, Ohio. I'm still unemployed. I've been searching for employment non-stop for the past five months without success. I'm not giving up though. I know I'm going to become employed again if I'm persistant enough. Cleveland is a great city is live in. Relocating to Cleveland is one of the best decisions that I've made.

UNEMPLOYED IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

I'm still unemployed. It's not from a lack of trying. I've been filling out job applications non-stop since April 1, 2009. I miss having a weekly paycheck. I miss clocking in to work for an hourly employment shift. I know I'll become employed again. I can't give up my job search. I must keep filling out job applications until I'm employed again.

AUGUST IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

Established continuity has been altered beyond recognition. I'm now a legal resident of Cleveland, Ohio. I recently changed my voters registration from Franklin County to Cuyahoga County. Which means, that I'm legally able to vote in Cleveland, Ohio in the next elections. I'm still unemployed. I'm not giving up on my job hunt though. I know I'll become employed again if I'm persistant enough.

THIRTY MINUTES LEFT TO SURF THE INTERNET IN THE LIBRARY COMPUTER LAB

The Cuyahoga County Public Library changed it's mind. I have thirty minutes left before the computer lab computer shuts down. When I'm done with this computer, somebody else will use this machine instead. I suddenly realized that I still need to register to vote in Cuyahoga County. I've been so busy hunting for employment, I forget to officially get myself registered.

ONE MINUTE LEFT ON THE LIBRARY COMPUTER LAB

now it's forty one seconds. Rush. Rush. Rush. Now it's thirty four seconds. Come on, rush.

SUMMER IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

I don't regret relocating to Cleveland, Ohio. Relocating to Cleveland is the necessary next step in my evolution. I do admit that being employed by a legitimate employer would make my residence in Cleveland vastly easier. I know I'll become employed again if I'm persistant enough. Cleveland is a great city to live in. I can't wait to see what fantastic adventures I'll have in Cleveland.

JOB HUNTING IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

I've been living in Cleveland, Ohio since April 2009. I'm still unemployed. It's not easy being unemployed for such a long time. I'm hoping that I could find a legitimate employer before winter arrives. I'll still go job hunting even if it snows. However, getting a job before winter would help a great deal. Having a legitimate employer right now would also be useful. It's not easy going for four months without a weekly source of income.

Tuesday, July 14, 2009

UNEMPLOYED IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

I'm still filling out job applications. There were a few job interviews along the way. Nothing yet, but I'm still looking. I wish the recession would come to a conclusion this year because I don't enjoy being unemployed. I don't recall ever being unemployed for this long. I refuse to accept government assistance. There's too much paperwork and documentation for comfort. I simply need to be patient and persistant. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Friday, July 10, 2009

UNEMPLOYED IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

I've been a legal resident of Cleveland, Ohio since April 1, 2009. I've also been unemployed since April 1, 2009. It's not easy to spend day after day filling out job applications with nothing to show for it. I'm no longer using the ATT cellular telephone with my Columbus, Ohio telephone number on it. I'm only using my Verizon cellular telephone that my biologic father is paying for. I can't afford to use the ATT telephone anymore. Three months of unemployment does have it's consequences.

UNEMPLOYED IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

The good news is that my resume has been recovered from my floppy disk. This is fantastic news because I don't need to rewrite anything. I printed out four copies of my resume just to be on the safe side. Now that I've been armed with resumes, I'm ready to resume my job search. I know that I'll find employment soon. I was expecting to be employed two and a half months ago. However, I will rise above every challenge thrown at me. I refuse to give up. The economy will improve. When the economy improves, the employment market will improve. When the employment market improves, I'll be employed again. I hope that the economy improves next week because it's tough to exist without a weekly paycheck.

UNEMPLOYED IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

I'm sorry if I sound so moody. Three months of unemployment can be frustrating. Honestly, what is going on inside a possible employer's mind when my job application is rejected. I can't give up. I need a paycheck. I'm desperate enough to work for anybody and do anything that's legal. I spent every day applying to anything and everything in sight. I know that we're stuck in a recession. I never thought that I would be caught up in the recession's unreasonable grip. However, I've been unemployed for the past three months. I know that I'll be employed again. I need to have faith in myself.

RAIN FALLS IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

It's been raining off and on in Cleveland, Ohio. I've brought along my rain coat just in case I'm stuck riding my bike while the rain falls again. The most updated resume is only available on one floppy disk. Sadly, I was dumb enough to think that I could print it out on this stupid library computer. This stupid library computer declared war on every single floppy disk that I tried to place inside it. Now the only resume that contains updated information about my employable prospects might be gone forever. Great. The last thing I need is to rewrite my stupid resume all over again. Sometimes technology works and sometimes technology doesn't work. I'm sorry if my continued dependency on Windows 1995 is ruining the library computer's life. I had no idea that Window's 1995 is no longer compatable with the latest Windows computer operating systems. Unemployed people like me can't afford to purchase a brand new computer with all the latest bells and whistles.

JOB HUNTING IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

I've been unemployed since April 2009. It's frustrating because I thought I would be employed by now. I never had this much trouble searching for employment. I'm not giving up. I know I'll be employed if I'm persistent enough. It briefly started to rain for a few minutes. The rain have stopped---At least for now.

JOB HUNTING IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

It was raining earlier and I'm not sure if it's going to rain again. It's a good day to surf the internet. I'm job hunting on the internet. However, it's hard to get started with a brand new job when there's a recession hurting the economy. I'm not giving up. I know I'll find employment if I'm persistant enough.

JOB HUNTING IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

I didn't realize that one out of two cell phones that I carry around is out of battery and needs to be recharged. The cell phone that's partially charged up is paid for by my biologic father, but I'm not allowed to contact my biologic mother with it. The cell phone that I'm able to contact my biologic mother with needs to be recharged. I normally pay very close attention to details such as that.

BRAND NEW CITY, BRAND NEW ADVENTURES

It's impossible to move backwerds to the past anymore. I have experienced an overnight turning point beyond recognition. I'm no longer a resident of Columbus, Ohio. I have relocated to Cleveland, Ohio. I'm still not employed. I've been spending almost every day since April 2009 looking for employment. I know that I'll be employed if I look hard enough. It's not easy to relocate to a brand new city. However, Cleveland, Ohio will be a great city for me to live. It would be interesting to see what brand new adventures await me in Cleveland, Ohio.

Tuesday, May 26, 2009

ANOTHER DAY IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

I spent the past nine weeks job hunting without success. I lost track how many job application forms I filled out. It's a tough economy to go job hunting in. It used to be easier to find a job. However, I didn't count on a recession to complicate the job hunt. I'm glad that it's spring and soon to become summer. I'm glad that I don't have to search for jobs in the winter. I heard that winter in Cleveland, Ohio tends to be an adventure.

SPRINGTIME FOR STEVEN HITCHCOCK IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

Nothing much happened in my life. I'm still job hunting. I need to think about whether I should continue taking classes over the internet at Franklin University or attend college classes in Cleveland, Ohio instead. I'm only four classes away from getting a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. However, will there be any job positions open for business administration college graduates in a recession economy? Will I be better off switching majors towards Library Science, law or psychology instead? There are a lot of questions that need to be asked and pondered. While I'm doing that, I'm still job hunting. Nothing yet, but I'm still optimistic.

GARDENING IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

My brother Mitchel, my biologic Mom and I did some gardening on Saturday. The three of us planted rose bushes. My biologic Mom and I did some gardening earlier today. Mom and I tried to get a mixture of dirt and clay ready for vegetable and flower seed planting. It's a lot toughter than it looks. At any rate, I've done some gardening this week.

SPRINGTIME FOR STEVEN HITCHCOCK IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

Thus begins a brand new month. I've gone for an entire month without employment. Yeah, Cleveland, Ohio is the third worst city to find employment in. However, it's better for me to be in Cleveland, Ohio than it is to be in Columbus, Ohio. I don't regret me decision to permenently relocate to Cleveland, Ohio. I'm long overdue for an overnight turning point transformation beyond recognition. Cleveland, Ohio is the best place for me to start over with a fresh clean slate.

TWENTY-FOUR HOURS OF RAIN IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

My first month of residence in Cleveland continues. It was a risky move when I changed established continuity beyond recognition. However, the permenent irreverable change in continuity beyond recognition was the best decision that I ever made. I feel good about myself. Yeah, I'm still not employed. I'm still job hunting. I'm optimistic about my job hunting. I know that I'll be employed again. I need to be very persistant.

Wednesday, April 15, 2009

BRAND NEW CITY, BRAND NEW ADVENTURES

Official continuity has been altered beyond recognition. I have reached an overnight turning point that has changed everything. I have permenently relocated to Cleveland, Ohio. After quitting my job at both Burger King Restaurant and Wendy's Restaurant, I'm now unemployed. So begins my job hunt for brand new employment. I know that relocating to Cleveland, Ohio is a very risky move. However, I do believe that relocation will turn out to be the best decision that I've ever made.

LIFE IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

Relocation to a brand new city can be both scary and unnerving. After spending eighteen years getting used to the same arrangement of streets in Columbus, Ohio, I'm thrown into a brand new environment. None of the streets are familiar. However, I'm slowly starting to find my way around. Plus, it's great to live in a city that has both a commuter train system, an Amtrak railroad train line and close proximity to Lake Erie.

SPRING IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

Official continuity has been altered beyond recognition. I'm now a resident of Cleveland, Ohio. On Monday, there was a mixture of snow and rain to greet my permenent relocation to Cleveland. On Tuesday, there was only snow falling to the ground to greet my arrival to Cleveland. The snow was still on the ground Wednesday morning and was melted away to nothing by afternoon. Once again, the weather is back to normal spring weather. I need to go job hunting because I'm currently unemployed.

STEVEN POST HITCHCOCK RELOCATES TO CLEVELAND, OHIO

April is the month for risky reinventions. I quit my job at Burger King Restaurant and Wendy's Restaurant. I moved out of my two bedroom apartment at Lexington Park Apartments. I'm now officially a resident of Cleveland, Ohio. I'm currently living with my biologic Mom, Step-Dad Dave and my brother Mitchel. Yes, relocation is a risky thing. However, I do believe that relocation to Cleveland, Ohio is the best ting I've ever done for myself. I can't wait to see all the brand new opportunities that are awaiting me in Cleveland.

THINGS TO DO IN COLUMBUS, OHIO DURING THE FIRST TWO DAYS OF APRIL

It's a warm spring day. I got a lot to do today and not much time to do it. Among the tasks that need to be done is the payment of the telephone bill. I still need to fill out my income tax forms. I don't know why I keep putting that off. Filling out the income tax forms should be the easiest task to accomplish. On the positive side, I finally did the laundry. I ended up using three coin operated washing machines with all the dirty laundry that I ended up with.

THINGS TO DO IN COLUMBUS, OHIO WHEN YOU'RE WORRIED ABOUT THE IDES OF MARCH

One more day and the month of March will be concluded. When that's done, the month of April 2009 will make it's debut. It's my hope that the month of April 2009 will be positive and hope inspiring. I try to be a good person. I try to conduct myself in the most appropriate manner. I try to respect the feelings of other people. Although I do fall short of my goals every so often, I do atone for my mistakes. It's my hope that the year 2009 will be a chance for second chances, new beginings and fresh clean slates.

THINGS TO DO IN COLUMBUS, OHIO WHEN YOU NEED TO PAY THE RENT

Warm weather continues in Columbus, Ohio. It's too nice of a day to be inside the apartment all day. I do all of my internet surfing in the public library since I can't afford the internet for my personal computer. My combined work hours at both Burger King Restaurant and Wendy's Restaurant has been dropping more and more each week. Wendy's Restaurant in particular isn't very stable. Employment at both Burger King Restaurant and Wendy's Restaurant has been about coping with a mediocre situation in hope that it will improve.

THINGS TO DO IN COLUMBUS, OHIO WHEN YOU'RE SURFING THE INTERNET

It's raining outside. Actually, it's more like a light sprinkling of rain. The weather is rather cool outside. It's not cold, but it's not warm either. It's perfect weather for a light jacket. I have roughly thirty-seven minutes left before I have to peddle my bike home to cook dinner. I'm in the Upper Arlington Public Library on Lane Road. I felt the urge to surf the internet. Surfing the internet is a great way to relax myself.

THINGS TO DO IN COLUMBUS, OHIO WHEN IT'S RAINING OUTSIDE

I wish there were cheap affordable indoor swimming pools available in the Upper Arlington suburb of Columbus, Ohio. It's still too cold outside to use the Lexington Park Apartment indoor swimming pools.

THINGS TO DO IN COLUMBUS, OHIO WHEN YOU'RE EATING A CHEF SALAD WITH RANCH DRESSING

The sound doesn't work in this computer terminal in the Upper Arlington Public Library on Lane Road. Mechanical failure is one of the risks that you must endure in the public library. However, I can't afford to establish an internet connection with my own computer. So I use the public library computer's internet connection because it's free. It's not the best arrangement, but it's better than nothing.

THINGS TO DO IN COLUMBUS, OHIO WHEN YOU'RE EATING FRENCH BREAD PIZZAS

I really enjoy eating french bread pizzas. Add boiled pasta, boiled corn and buttered dinner rolls. I always wanted to know how to make garlic bread, but I'm not sure what the recipe is just yet.

THINGS TO DO IN COLUMBUS, OHIO AFTER COOKING A GRILLED CHEESE SANDWHICH

I'm in the Upper Arlington Public Library on Lane Road. It's so warm outside, that I don't need a coat at all. It's so nice to have such pleasent weather return. I'm not sure how long the good weather will last. I'm certainly enjoying every second of it.

THINGS TO DO IN COLUMBUS, OHIO AFTER SHOPPING AT WALMART

I got off work at Burger King Restaurant from 6:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M.. The Upper Arlington Public Library either closes at 5:00 P.M. or 6:00 P.M.. I'm not sure how much time I got left. However, I had some free time at my disposal. So I'm surfing the internet for a little bit.

Saturday, March 21, 2009

THINGS TO DO IN COLUMBUS, OHIO WHEN YOU'RE COOKING WITH AN OVEN INSTEAD OF A DEEP FAT FRYER

I worked at Burger King Restaurant from 5:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M.. I have a few hours to kill before I have to clock in to work at Wendy's Restaurant. I don't have time to surf the internet, but internet surfing is starting to become addicting. It helps me to take my mind off my troubles. Right now, being able to pay the water bill and the rent is on the top of my list of priorities.

THINGS TO DO IN COLUMBUS, OHIO WHEN YOU'RE MOPING THE FLOOR

Is the Star Wars series better if it's only composed of part four, part five and part six. Is the Star Wars series better because part one, part two or part three were finally at long last completed. Some people insisted that The Phantom Menace, The Clone Wars and Revenge of the Sith were shameless attempts to cash in on the popularity of the vastly better A New Begining, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. However, the tragedy of Darth Vader's serial killing mass murder of Jedi warriors and innocent planets are made even more tragic. The Phantom Menace and The Clone Wars gave you got to see what the Jedi warriors and the political structure was like before it was forever ruined by Darth Vader. By allowing us to see the victims of Darth Vader's unprovoked rage as innocent blameless people rather than faceless clay pigeons, there is a deeper emotional connection to the viewer. I'm not trying to ruin anybody's life by voiceing these opinions. I simply believe that The Phantom Menace, The Clone Wars and Revenge of the Sith have been successful in preventing undeserved hero worship of Darth Vader.

THINGS TO DO IN COLUMBUS, OHIO WHEN YOU'RE EATING TACOS AT TACO BELL RESTAURANT

Good grief, it's already Friday. The week have flown past much too quickly. It's hard to believe that the month is almost nearly concluded. Spring has finally arrived. There are no leaves on the trees yet, but it's only a matter of time. It's sad to see the snowstorms go, but the crisp spring breeze makes life much better.

THINGS TO DO IN COLUMBUS, OHIO WHEN YOU'RE DRINKING COCA COLA

Yes, I know for a fact that winter is finally concluded. It's still cold outside, but I'm not wearing a winter coat anymore. I'm not going to leave the window to my apartment wide open just yet, but it's certainly close to it. I got my paychecks for both Burger King Restaurant and Wendy's Restaurant. I cashed the paychecks and I'm going to use 90% of the cash to pay the rent. I have a rigid financial budget to follow. It's not easy, but I manage to succeed half of the time.

Thursday, March 19, 2009

THINGS TO DO IN COLUMBUS, OHIO WHEN YOU'RE GOING FOR A WALK IN THE PUBLIC PARK

Let's check the calander. Yikes, the month of March is almost concluded. One more week before March 2009 is a distant memory. It's amazing how quickly time flies. You wake up one morning and you insist that you have all the time in the world. By the time you're cooking lunch, fifty years have gone by and you start to wonder where all the time have vanished too. You start to wonder if all the time you have spent have been used wisely. I ask myself that question every single day. I don't want to waste my entire life aimlessly drifting. More important, I want to graduate college with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. I still believe that I could make a positive difference in my life if I have the right college degree.

THINGS TO DO IN COLUMBUS, OHIO WHEN YOU'RE EATING SCRAMBLED EGGS FOR BREAKFAST

I got my paycheck from Wendy's Restaurant. As a result, I'm one step closer to getting the rent paid. I'm going to collect another paycheck from Burger King Restaurant tomorow. Payday is always a lot of fun. Yeah, I don't earn much money. However, I still enjoy payday regardless. Actually having money in my wallet fills me with hope and optimism for the future.

THINGS TO DO IN COLUMBUS WHILE WATCHING MUSIC VIDEOS ON WWW.YOUTUBE.COM

It's my hope that my contributions to society will be positive. I try really hard to be a nice person and treat everybody with equality and decency. It's my hope that the legacy that I leave behind will be both hopeful and positive. I understand that only GOD himself is perfect. We try to live up to GOD's expectations with a wide variety of results. With the grace of GOD himself, we try to improve ourselves. Yet, it's not always easy to see when we fall short of expectations. Yet, we always strive to improve ourselves. The ability to learn from our mistakes is one of the most enduring legacy of the human race.

THINGS TO DO IN COLUMBUS, OHIO AFTER FRESH COFFEE HAVE BEEN BREWED

There are days when I wish I could afford to own and operate a car. Don't get me wrong, bike riding is fantastic exercise. However, there are days when I wish there was an automobile available on days when I really need it.

THINGS TO DO IN COLUMBUS, OHIO WHEN YOU'RE EATING SLICED APPLES

For breakfast, I enjoyed oatmeal, sliced apples, toast, milk, lemonaid and coffee. I enjoy cooking my meals. Not only is it vastly cheaper, but it's very relaxing. I always feel calm after cooking and eating a well prepared meal.

Monday, March 16, 2009

THINGS TO DO IN COLUMBUS, OHIO BEFORE YOU COOK DINNER AT NIGHT

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting that I also need to clean the laundry. The coin operated washing machine is $1.25. The coin operated drying machine is $1.25. I have to walk across the parking lot to a tiny room on the first floor of another block of apartments. There are four washing machines and four drying machines. I have enough laundry detergent for the laundry machine washes.

THINGS TO DO IN COLUMBUS, OHIO WHEN YOU'RE CONCERNED ABOUT WHERE YOUR NEXT PAYCHECK IS GOING TO COME FROM

Despite the severe reduction of work hours at both Burger King Restaurant and Wendy's Restaurant, I manage to survive. This coming week, I get to work eighteen work hours at Wendy's. However, the next week has my Wendy's Restaurant work hours reduced back to only four and a half. I'm not sure why I can't get eighteen work hours at Wendy's Restaurant more frequently. I know it's not much, but it's better than nothing.

ODDS AND ENDS IN COLUMBUS, OHIO

It's getting late at night. I didn't eat dinner yet. I intended to clean the bathroom and wash the dishes. I didn't to either of those yet. I should get more focused on household cleaning chores with more committed zeal. Aside from that, it was a calm relaxing day.

THINGS TO DO IN COLUMBUS, OHIO WHEN IT'S COLD OUTSIDE

It's not too cold outside. However, it's not warm either. I was expecting the warm weather to last a bit longer. However, such luck wasn't on my side. On the positive side, I was able to cash my Burger King paycheck. Yeah, it isn't much money. However, it's better than nothing.

REFLECTIONS ON A PLEASENT SPRING DAY

And so spring finally arrived. It took a while for the pleasent spring weather to finally arrive. However, the fact that it took so long for the pleasent weather to arrive helps us to appreciate it more. Today was pleasent because I was able to walk around without a coat on. It certainly gives me hope for a brighter tomorow when we can enjoy a warm spring day.

ANOTHER DAY IN COLUMBUS, OHIO

The weather gets warmer by slowly and gradually with each progressive day. The weather is still cold, but it doesn't feel much like winter anymore. It's easier for me to travel around Upper Arlington by bicycle. Surfing the internet in the Upper Arlington Public Library on Lane Road does have it's advantages. The biggest advantage is that the library is next to the Lane Road Public Park. Hanging out in the public park is great---Even in the warmest days of winter.

WAITING FOR PAYDAY

I get my Burger King Restaurant paycheck this Friday. Right now, I only have seven cents left in my wallet. I certainly need my paycheck. However, most of the cash from my paycheck will be used to pay the telephone bill. Paying the bills is never fun, but it's a necessary part of life.

THINGS TO DO TODAY

I got the day off at both Burger King Restaurant and Wendy's Restaurant. I'm currently surfing the internet at the Upper Arlington Public Library on Lane Road. I'm planning to cook dinner later tonight. I need to clean the apartment also. The stove is long overdue for cleaning. Mostly, it's the stove top burners that needs to be cleaned. Cleaning the stove is always a fun activity to undertake.

ODDS AND ENDS

I'm hoping to bake a cake before the end of the week. I don't understand why don't already make the effort. I have the eggs. I have the pre-prepared cake mix. I have the pans to bake the cake in. I need to display more enthusiasm with regards to cooking food.

WINTER IN COLUMBUS, OHIO

It's cold outside. It was snowing yesterday, but the snow didn't stick to the ground. I can only be on the internet for a brief moment. I need to peddle my bike from the Upper Arlington Public Library on Lane Road back to my home at Lexington Park Apartment. I wasn't interested in surfing the internet when I first moved to Lexington Park Apartments in July 1997. My interest in the internet was slow and gradual since that period.
For dinner, I'm going to cook hamburgers, pasta, boiled corn, a glass of milk and a mug of coffee. I keep alcohol intake to a minimum. I prefer drinking coffee and tea beverages instead.

THOUGHTS ON THURSDAY AT 4:40 P.M.

It's cold outside. What started as a warm spell turned out to be rather brief. My apartment needs to be cleaned. To be more exact, I still need to do the laundery and clean out the bathtub. The electric bill has been paid. I delayed the payment of the electric bill for far too long. I still need to pay the telephone bill.

THUNDERSTORMS BELOW THE SETTING SUN

Normally, right now is around the time when the sun starts to set in a spectacular array of colors. However, the cloudy sky and the falling rain obscures the sunset. However, the falling rain is necessary part of nature. It's always nice to see a rain storm. There's poetry in all things.

TUESDAY NIGHT IN COLUMBUS, OHIO

It's getting dark outside. It was raining this morning, but the sky is only merely cloudy now. It might rain tomorow, but I'll worry about that later. I only have $4.00 in my wallet. I'm counting the days before my next Burger King Restaurant paycheck. I have enough food in the fridge to last me until Friday. I'm feeling calm and relaxed. Today have been a good day.

AFTER THE SNOWSTORM

The snow have stopped falling. Part of the snow have already melted, though it's still cold outside. I'm typing this blog entry in the Upper Arlington Library on Lane Road. It's still cold outside. It's cold enough for the frosty tempreture to seep through my gloves. Still, it's nice to explore the Lane Road Park on my days off from both Burger King Restaurant and Wendy's Restaurant. The park has plenty of gentle hills, long winding paths and trees. Yeah, there are no leaves on the trees yet nor is the grass green. However, the public park is still a great place to unwind and relax.

SNOW, SNOW, SNOW AND MORE SNOW

All five major television stations officially switches to digital nearby my birthday on February 15. However, my television set isn't compatable. Sadly, I don't have enough cash to purchase a replacement television set. As a result, after my birthday, the only television I'll be able to watch would either be digital video disk, videotapes or on the internet.
Another crucial issues is my income tax. I received my w-2 forms for Meijer Grocery Store (I worked there for only four months maximum last year), Wendy's Restaurant (I worked there for only eight months last year) and Burger King Restaurant (I worked there all twelve months). Filling out the income tax returns isn't fun, but it's a necessary task.

CELLULAR TELEPHONES AS THE EXCLUSIVE WINDOW TO THE WORLD

I'm employed by two fast food restaurants. The paychecks from Burger King Restaurant and Wendy's Restaurant is enough to pay the rent and three fourth's of the bills. However, it's hard to scrap together enough cash to eat at Burger King and Wendy's on a regular basis. Still, it's nice to have a fifty percent meal discount. That certainly helps keep myself on budget.

WINTER IN COLUMBUS, OHIO

My Wendy's Restaurant paycheck is going to be handed out today. However, I won't be able to mail payment for the water bill until Wednesday. Yes, I know it's not normal for Lexington Park Apartments to make it's residents pay for the water. However, there's nothing I could do about such a situation. I'm thankful that all of my next door neighbors are all pleasent people to be around. I'm also thankful that I'm still able to earn a weekly income from Burger King Restaurant and Wendy's Restaurant. Yes, I'm not getting decent hours or a decent wage, but it's enough to pay the rent and three fourth of the bills.

WINTER IN COLUMBUS, OHIO

It's finally snowing in Columbus, Ohio. Oh wow, is the snow really falling down hard. If only I had a sled. Then I really would enjoy the snowstorm. Snow and downhill sledding really goes together.

THINGS TO BUY AND NOT MUCH MONEY TO PURCHASE THEM

I need a new television that's capable of receiving digital transmissions. I also need to purchase a microwave oven. The last time I had a microwave oven was in 1997. I also need a digital printer for my computer. The microwave oven is the cheapest of the three to aquire.

ANOTHER DAY IN COLUMBUS, OHIO

Ohio State University lost the Fiesta Bowl. I don't really watch football much. I only watch football games if there wasn't anything better on television. I used to attend Ohio State University football games in the early 1990's, but I haven't done so recently. The lack of money is one reason. The lack of time is another reason. I also like to watch baseball games. I don't know anything about the football or the baseball players. I'm more of a casual viewer. I also watch women's gymnastics and figure skating competitions any chance I get.
I considered joining the track team when I attended Highland Park High School, but eventually chose not to do so. I was a member of the track team at Rockbridge High School for a year. I came last place each and every time, but I had fun. It was fun to visit other schools in Missouri. I didn't join any athletic teams during my endless years as a college student. My decision to join the track team despite not being fast enough was inspired by my grandfather. Grandpa was hanging around the track when he thought somebody was chasing him. He ran with fear and realized later that he wasn't being chased at all. Rather, he defeated the fastest runner in the track team. So he was offered a chance to join the high school track team and he did so. According to my grandfather, Max Victor Kaplan, he was one of the fastest runners in the track team. however, even if you don't win any track and field competitions, running and jogging is great exercise.
