HAVE SHE NEVER BEEN MELLOW

Olivia Newton-John was born in Cambridge, England on September 26, 1948.  Her father Brinley ("Bryn") Newton-John came from Wales and her mother Helene (Born), the daughter of nuclear physicist Max Born, came from Berlin, Germany.  Her brother Hugh Newton-John (employed as a doctor) and her sister Rona Newton-John (Employed as an actress and the divorced ex-wife of film actor Jeff Conway (Grease)) was older than Olivia Newton-John.
The Newton-John family relocated to Melbourne, Australia on 1954.  She became a local child star while attending high school usually as a solo performer (Except for a brief girl group experiment with Sol Four).  She got her first recording contract with Decca Records at the age of eighteen in 1966.  Funny Things Happen Down Under was a telefilm that she starred in.  She later relocated to England and formed a short lived duet with Pat Carroll and did a nightclub tour.  However, green card visa problems forced the duet to break up and she became an Australian solo performer again.  She later joined the group called Toomorrow.  Essentially, it was a prefabricated group made for albums, television show episodes and movies.  However, when the album and the film that it was the soundtrack to bombed and it became obvious that a television show won't emerge from this, the group broke up.  Since a prefabricated rock group is only as good as the next television episode and /or film there was no point for the group Toomorrow since no more films and television was going to happen.  As far as we know, the prefabricated rock band Toomorrow is still stranded in outer space.  According to Wikipedia, the failed prefabricated rock group was composed of Olivia Newton-John (Lead vocals), Chambers (drums), Ben Thomas (guitar, vocals) and Vic Cooper (organ, piano, saxophone, guitar, recorder).
Olivia Newton-John switched to country music (from 1971 to 1977) until she did the toe tapping musical extravaganza film Grease in 1977.  Then she switched to dance music until 1985.  Her first spouse, Matt Lattanzi resulted in her daughter Chloe Rose Lattanzi.  Chloe Rose Lattanzi is an actress and rock star (Her first and only album No Pain has yet to be released).  John Easterling is her second and current spouse.  Her latest album, her second album full of Christmas songs, was released in 2012.
