IT'S ALL THE SAME TO HER

Anya Marina was born under the name Anya Marina Kroth in Ann Arbor, Michigan on September 23, 1976.   She was raised in Cupertino, California.  She has a younger sister and both of her parents were psychology and Russian Literature professors at a nearby Ann Arbor based university.  Anya Kroth changed her name to anya Marina and relocated to Los Angeles, California where she first attended classes taught by Richard Dryfuss and Elli Wallach at The British American Drama Academy and traveled to Pasadena, California to attend The American Academy of Dramatic Arts.  She acted in two movies.  She played the role of Mouse in the film Hope and she played the role of Rhonda in the film 100 Girls.  She later aspired to earn a college degree in English Composition at  Santa Clara University.  For extra income, she worked at Santa Clara University radio station KSCU as a disk jockey.  Upon graduation in 1997, Anya Marina found employment as a disk jockey at XHRM-FM (Magic 92.5), KSOQ-FM, Y107 and  FM 94/9.  She also performed on open mike night at any night clubs needing a live rock concert.  She eventually landed a recording contract.  She has released three full length albums and two ep albums.  Her latest album was released in 2012.
