THE MECHANICS OF WRITING A NOVEL

Oh what a challenge it must be to write a novel within a novel. I'm not sure of the mechanics involved. Nor am I sure that such a concept would even be remotely marketable. Well, to be honest, the only way that a novel within a novel would work is if it's about a group of actors putting on a show. But then you would be seeing small portions of this show within a show rather than the entire body of work. So in that case, it would be more of a modified novel within a novel sort of thing. In the end, instead of writing a novel within a novel, it might be a better idea to write two separate novels for the sake of simplicity.
