Sarah Blacker was born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 11, 1983. She was dancing ballet since the age of eight, but her real love was performing music. She graduated both Wellesley High School (located in Wellesley, Massachusetts) and Berklee College of Music (Located in Boston, Massachusetts). She graduated Berklee College of Music with a Bachelors degree. Highly skilled as a classically trained singer, she pursued a career in music therapy. Since the release of her debut album The Only Way Out is Through in 2009, Sarah Blacker only works part time in the medical field of music therapy. She was nominated (But didn't win) the Singer/Songwriter of the Year category for the 2012 Boston Music Awards. Sarah Blacker was also nominated (But didn't win) the Singer/Songwriter of the Year category for the 2012 Limelight Magazine awards as well as being nominated (But didn't win) best music video category for the 2013 Limelight Magazine Awards. Sarah Blacker continues to record music and tour to this exact moment.
