THE DEATH OF LAUREN BACALL

Lauren Bacall was born under the name Betty Joan Perske in the Bronx, New York City, New York on September 16, 1924.  A secretary named Natalie Weinstein-Bacal and a salesman named William Perske were her parents and she had no siblings.  And starting in 1944, Lauren Bacall starred in almost nearly sixty films.  She married Humphrey Bogart one year after she started becoming famous in 1945 and they produced both a son and a daughter together.  Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart did four films together.  A happy marriage and a happy family fell apart for Lauren Bacall when Humphrey Bogart died in 1957.  And after a brief rebound relationship with Frank Sinatra, she married Jason Robards Jr. from 1961 to 1969.  They produced a son together, but their marriage couldn't survive his alcoholism.  Lauren Bacall starred in some of the greatest films.  And she was one of the most sought after actresses of her generation.  Lauren Bacall died of a stroke at age 89 on August 12, 2014(2014-08-12) in New York City, New York.  Lauren Bacall was a great presence in film and she will be missed.
