Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier III married on April 19, 1956 and she continued to rule over the island nation of Monaco until the day she died. Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier III produced three children. The children of Grace Kelly are Caroline, Princess of Hanover, Hereditary Princess of Monaco (Caroline Louise Marguerite Grimaldi, Prinzessin von Hannover, Erbprinzessin von Monaco), Albert II, Sovereign Prince of Monaco (Albert Alexandre Louis Pierre Grimaldi) and Princess Stéphanie of Monaco, Countess of Polignac (Stéphanie Marie Elisabeth Grimaldi). Grace Kelly suffered a stroke while driving a car and died in a car wreck on September 14, 1982. She died instantly. Prince Albert II took the throne after the death of Prince Rainier in April 6, 2005.
