THE RETURN OF BAYWATCH

Just because a television series was canceled by NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX and CW doesn't mean that the cancelation was actually justified.  Case in point was Baywatch which originally ran on NBC for one season only to be canceled after one season in 1989.  Seasons two to eleven was syndicated.  However, the syndicated episodes of Baywatch got higher Neilson Ratings than the original NBC episodes.  Which means that if NBC stuck with Baywatch longer than a single season, they would've had a huge hit on their hits.  When I say huge, what I meant to say was huge.  Really massively huge.  For those who don't know what Baywatch was about, here is a brief summery.  It's about lifeguards working on patrol on Baywatch Beach somewhere in California.  If somebody nearly drowns, they lifeguards save them.  If somebody commits a crime, the lifeguards stop it, but they can't make any arrests because they are not police officers.  The Lifeguards of Baywatch Beach can only do lifeguard type of stuff.  Baywatch had a revolving door employment in which there was thirty-five cast members between 1989 to 1999.  There were eleven additional cast members from 1999 to 2001 when Baywatch was renamed Baywatch Hawaii and shifted the location from Baywatch Beach, California to Baywatch Beach, Hawaii.
Only David Hasselhoff as Mitch Buchannon was in every single episode and only David Hasselhoff as Mitch Buchannon made the transition from Baywatch Beach, California to Baywatch Beach, Hawaii in 1999 when everybody in the cast except for David Hasselhoff was removed from the cast to revamp the series all over again from scratch.
Between 1989 to 1992, the leading lady of Baywatch was Erika Eleniak who played Shauni McClain

From 1992 to 1994, Nicole Eggart played Roberta "Summer" Quinn on Baywatch.

Between 1992 to 1997, the leading lady of Baywatch was Pamela Anderson as C. J. Parker.  Pamela Anderson was also the leading lady for the first ever Baywatch film, a made for television film entitled Baywatch:  Hawaiian Wedding broadcast on February 28, 2003.

Alexandra Paul played Stephanie Holden on Baywatch from 1992 to 1997.

In 1994, eleven year old Mila Kunis appeared in the Baywatch episode Aftershock as an eleven year old girl named Annie who saves two classmates from drowning by calling lifeguard Stephanie Holden played by Alexandra Paul.  Eleven year old Mila Kunis is considered to be a heroine for calling a grownup to save classmates who entered the ocean without adult supervision.

From 1997 to 1999, the leading lady of Baywatch was Kelly Packard as April Giminski

From 1999 to 2001, Baywatch was renamed Baywatch Hawaii with Brooke Burns as Jessie Owens as the leading lady.  Attempting to save Baywatch by redoing the television series didn't work though.

Baywatch is coming back as a theatrical motion picture on May 19, 2017 and it will be the second film adaptation and the first theatrical motion picture adaptation, but this time with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as the second incarnation of Mitch Buchannon and Alexandra Daddario as Summer Quinn as the leading lady.
