WHEN SUPERGIRL MET THE FLASH

One of the benefits of the CW network co-owned by CBS (Owned by CBS Corporation which is owned in turn by National Amusements)(With Warner Brothers (owned by Time Warner Inc.) owning the other half) is that television shows on the CW Network can cross over with television shows on the CBS Network.  DC Comics is owned by Warner Brothers which is owned by Time Warner Inc.  Both National Amusements and Time Warner Inc. owns plenty of television stations.  CW Network is actually a merger of UPN Network (Owned by National Amusements) and the WB Network (Owned by Time Warner Inc.).  Anyway, second volume of the Flash television series (John Wesley Shipp starred as the Barry Allen version of the Flash in the 1990 version of the Flash television series which only lasted one season, Kyle Gallner played the Bart Allen version of the Flash (Also called Impulse) in three episodes of the Smallville television series) began on the CW Network on 2014 as a spinoff from both Smallville and Arrow (Itself a spinoff from Smallville).  The first volume of the Supergirl television series (Helen Slater played the role in the 1984 Supergirl film and Laura Vandervoort played the role in the television series Smallville and yes, this might be yet another Smallville television series spinoff) started on CBS on 2015.  With National Amusements owning CBS and co-owning CW, a crossover between the second volume of the Flash and the first volume of Supergirl was unavoidable.  And thus is the day when Supergirl met the Flash.
Melissa Benoist as the third incarnation of Kara Zor-el aka Kara Danvers aka Supergirl meets Grant Gustin as the second incarnation of Barry Allen (The Bart Allen version of the Flash aka Impulse from Smallville is a completely different person altogether) meets in their civilian attire.

Jeremy Jordan as Winslow "Winn" Schott, Jr (The son of Winslow "Winn" Schott, Sr aka The Toyman (A sworn arch enemy of Superman), Grant Gustin as Barry Allen aka the Flash, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olson (Other versions of the character has been played by Caucasians and the comic book version was also Caucasian) and Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El aka Kara Danvers aka Supergirl confer about the latest super-villain menace du-jour.
Then it's off to the DEO for both Supergirl and the Flash when they are assigned by the DEO (which is an United States Government crime investigation subdivision of either the FBI or the United States Armed Forces (I'm not sure which one exactly) which fights against super-powered villains) where they are assigned by their boss to fight against...
Silver Banshee played by Italia Ricci and Livewire played by Brit Morgan---Two female super-villains sworn to destroy the world.

But first, Grant Gustin as Barry Allen aka the Flash needs a hug from Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El aka Kara Danvers aka Supergirl.  Melissa was more than happy to give Grant a very tight hug which lasted longer than expected.  But hey, Grant isn't complaining.  He's enjoying every second of it.
The battle is about to begin...
